Yep Bultaco was bought out by GASGAS. DI Gasser maybe with OSSA corporate Knowledge
Re the track raz its an offroad Buggy type track so possibly still could be used as a MX track. The trouble is Kempsey motorcycle club is mainly focused on speedway at Greenhills. HVMCC is the go to MX club in the area.
Oh and yeah they were my brake fingers  Happened nearly 30 years ago now
:blush:Ollie

   Good one Raz  Mate its Dondingalong
Yarrahappinni is North East about 50 KM At the Dong There is a Offroad track there, used to be a very good MX track but is now only used by Car racing (I think). We lived at Sherwood about 5 KM up the road. I used to ride there after school on my MX250. I think it hosted a couple of State/aussie titals in the early 80’s (saw jeff leisk on a RM125X,first watercooled RM) kick everyones arse :woohoo:
PS If you find some mangled fingers in a drain on the side of the road, they are probably mine :pinch:

How was the oil when ya dropped it? No filings or anything? 1st service on my wr250f a few years back found a suprising amount of filings in it.
The filters had some tiny specs but nothing alarming.

Could probably do with one of those nice Stainless steel Filter Jobs – heard they are going cheap

Mate I would love to go back to Kempsey or the Mid North coast at least. Work and family not so keen
PDS is your rear suspension ( I have seen some good offs on an older KTM (09) ) might be sorted by now tho
Ollie
No worries RAZ, I reckon the new 2012 GG are very Good. The Berg/KTM also very good only thing that does concern me with these two is the starter motor problems oh and the PDS
Hope to catch up for a ride with ya one day (im originally from Kempsey)

I think the advice you received is pretty spot on re the fue/oil l ratio’s
if you use a fully synthetic oil. I personally run my gasgas 300 at 40:1 using a semi synthetic (Caltex Havoline)
Gearbox oil I use is Castrol VMX but the Motul synthetic stuff is pretty good as well.
Good luck with the Berg Raz.

My GG has the JD Kit in it as well the only difference is the taper of the needles. I think with a bit of research you should be able to find a better / cheaper alternative ( I think a Suzuki Rm needle was the go )
one going cheap on ebay but ending soon (couldnt get link to work)

I didnt read much into it, but the latest ADB mag rated the new Husky TE250 as the king of the 2fitty’s 👿 as the 310 is based on the 250 I reckon it will be a pearler, and allso a perfect choice for AL. The times I have rode Krams bike I thouroughly enjoyed it.
