like I said earlier, nearly bought a berg  If suzuki or yamaha made a 2 stroke enduro bike I probably would have one in the garage already.

thanks guys for all your advice ad tips .has anyone got a husky 300 there doing bloody good deals at the moment $9,90 on road umm

Speak with Mal he is a fair and an honest as bloke as you will ever meet and I don’t think he would ever have another one

I was involved in the build for his bike for the A4DE (raced as a clubman) the cost of spares made a KTM seem cheap I kid you not  I was blown away by the price of spares brake pedal and piston come to mind!!. It was a good bike to ride but not good enough to buy one no matter how cheap IMO.
My step father has a Husky WR250 rego 08 that has only done 1200kms, rego and ridden by a 62 year old and he has been trying to sell it for over 2 years and its now at 3 and a half k (actually may have just sold  )

Sorry it’s just what I seen and experienced first hand and my opinion (that is wrong from time to time  )

I also wouldn’t buy a Gas Gas because I think there are people with rose coloured glasses riding them  Just an opinion again, I love Mal’s its sex on wheels!

It hurts me to write this but if I was to buy a two stroke it would be KTM 300 or the Husaberg same same really, some extras like the CC forks on the berg. I love the TM’s to look at but wouldn’t own one because no one wants them as seen in our own for sale section here.

New 12 Model gasgas is about 40 mm taller in the seat. I have a mate who has the 10 model GG Nambotin and he is 6’4 and and fits nicely in it. He may have bar raisers but that is it. Has KTM/Berg fixed the starter motor issue yet ?

You mention about not getting ripped off by Mr Leisk in an earlier post but I am starting to think you are on a Gas Gas commission. If not you are the sort of one eyed rider that MC Chronic likes to compose tracks about.

HA HA no not quite Scotty Im just putting a few facts out there, I actually came across a Berg 300 at a recent state Enduro and was very close to putting the hard earned on it. But I figured a divorce would cost me a fair bit more than what the Berg was worth, so put it on hold for a while.

Both great bikes new 12 model Gasser with the electric leg is an awsome ride and rips

New berg 300 is MR smooth and a great bike as well.

ride both and make your choice from that. Also consider dealer support and locality.

Gasgas spares prices are very competitive and you dnt get ripped by MR Leisk.

Just getting a storm now, that should make it interesting on a few hills in the morning. No dust will be a bonus. :)

One of the best rides ive been on was also one of the wettest from Wauchope. I dislocated my thumb the day before going over the bars and had to have a couple of Nurofen sandwiches thruout the day  . I wish I was going with ya’s but sadly some have to work :( Have a great day Boys.
