Action dont discount a 300 2 stroke, they can be as mellow or as snappy as you like
less cost, lower maintenance big grin factor and light weight. take a Gasser for a test ride you will be surprised at how versatile they can be (especially ones with a six speed)
OllieYou know the worst thing about it was an Asian Lady in front of me braked Hard, looked, then took off again

Ok just a quick report
left Hornsby at 6:15 shot up the F3 fog was pretty awsome to say the least.
met most of the guys at the designated spot I wasnt late (or last) for a for a change
TB asked if I had a vest ahhh yep looks like i, sweep for the day  Good now I can mole along and have an excuse . This was the first real ride back on the GG for quite a few months, I have only just fitted a new Honda CR clutch pack so I didnt quite know how it would go, thankfully it was all good although it has a more noticable whirr about than before. The first few singles were a good warmup with a couple of good uphills and some snotty rocky downhills. Then we were into the singles alongside Walkers ridge Rd. Adam on the WR250 found a rather deep rut that needed some assistance to get him out of. Trying to keep up a good flowing rythym was hard due to the rocks ruts and roots  didnt get into 4th to often thu there  We headed up to the Pines and had a quick bite to eat before heading east thru the whooped out sections that prevail in the sandy side of the Watto’s. It soon became evident that forestry had been in there and had trees down everywhere making it difficult to get down to martinsville Rd so we did a 180 and headed back to the pines. I suggested to TB we head down German Point Rd then up the main for a bit then down Bowmans. I think everyone enjoyed this section of twin trail as the speeds are much higher than what we had previuously ridden. Bowmans was a real hoot and I think the less experianced guys felt a sense of achievment by riding down it with not to many drama’s.
We then witnessed some lunatics in there 4wds who wanted to go up the same hill that we just came down  No friggen way would they be getting up there. This downhill had 3 big sandstone dropoffs each of about 6+ at the top, the modded Patrol got up the first little creek crossing, but the standard petrol Pajero cased out hard. TB was offering his advice to hit it with a bit of speed but she just didnt have enough clearance.
We headed back to the main Rd and hit the singles again either side of the Rd, these a fun little tracks that have a heavy canopy over them so they are nice and tacky. Back on the main Rd I hit reserve and knew I would be lucky to get 5 KM so I got Dude to follow me from then on. We did a couple of steep rocky little pinches before finding the cars.
I was absolutley knackered by this time and it took me forever to load the bike onto the courier :SGreat day out boys really did enjoy it. look forward to the next one.
