Tubeless is the future. MTB has changed over already and anyone running tubes now is old school. Give us a few years and it will be the same. No need for stupidly heavy UHD tubes. Low pressure, high traction and no flats. The only issue is if you rip a sidewall and how often does that happen?

    STM

you can still put the “slime” in there as an extra precaution as well.

will be interesting to see how they do actually perform in the bush.

Mick you bloody idiot   I found an injured Roo on the the side of the track,Just taking him to the Vet

Awsome ride guys like has been said a hundred times well done Scottie and Nick ;)

Great catching up with all the old familiar faces and a few of the new ones as well.

Widowmaker well what can I say? That was one steep slab of rock!

I initially wasnt going to attempt it thinking you must be nuts! I have just fitted a new FMF Gnarly pipe to the gasser and havnt had time to make a guard for it yet so wasnt keen on denting it. But after seeing STM get up it on the little 250 fourstroke  I had to have a crack (even a half arsed one  )1st go was a recon … second was pathetic!! and crashed on the way back down :silly: oh well shit happens… enough for me! Of all the attempts I saw I reckon Chickens was the best as he had the power on,standing with the front wheel six to eight inches off the ground for most of the last part of the hill…..very impressive. TB’s and Mikes would have to of run a close 2nd/3rd.
The Only 2 stroke of our bunch was the perfect bike in those conditions (for me at least)I got heaps of comments on how they like following the smell of the 2 stroke!!)Most memorable moment for me was getting up that real slick clay creek hill and blasting up to the Rd only to find Corey still stuck on it! we eventually managed to pull him out of there  I think he must have lost a few KGs doing it  Great to see Al powering on every where loving the DRZ :woohoo:

Awsome weekend Me the Missus and the Girls all had a great time. I even went for a ride on Monday around the tracks in Maria state forest on my Brothers 610 Husky. I did sleep well last night thats for sure.

    Thanks again to all concerned.

Mate, if you are going to ride in state forests you need rego (and license). one for your peace of mind knowing your legal and wont have the police on your arse hunting you down, and two if you happen to run into some one they are covered with your CTP.
Most OBtrail rides are meant for regoed bikes, the exception is when we go to a bike park like Louee or Lochmaree then no rego required. ;)

+1 on the TTR and the DRZ250 which Mud and Tar should be able to hook you up with B)

I would highly recommend one of these as a starting bike very reliable very low maintenace and can be ridden on the rd for long distance. ;)

I have ridden both and they are both awesome bikes :woohoo: The honda was bone stock standard and had a very exciting engine, down side was it only had a 5 speed box and the gearing was a bit short on the open stuff.
The kato had gobs of power and handled everything with ease,I enjoyed riding the 06 450 more then the newer model bikes but it was a close thing. If you decide to go orange Sutto will look after you for sure. take up his offer and go for a test ride to be sure. Both very good bikes. B)
