After as the air pressure will push on the rimlock and thus help to get a better grip ;)

Also when trying to remove the rimlock make sure there is no air pressure left in the tyre!

What’s the experiment Ollie? You assume that everyone on this site can read that? I’d like to buy two vowels so it makes sense to me. How long did it take you to type it?

Gyday Mal B) welcome to my experiment ;) Basicly most people dont recquire a word to be correctly spelt, as the brain will recognise the word as long as the first and last letters are placed in the correct order.

Hvae a go at the eprixenmt it wlil aamze eevn smoe one of yuor itnelctural ailbtiy

yeh I think Mac was doing a few minor mods to the “Old Bulls Racing Trailer” before he leaves for good, its getting close :(

We towed it up to Dungog weekend before last with three 450’s and all our gear in it,went like a pearler.

Mac hires his spit roast trailer out most weekends so may not always be available  He doesnt do anything by halves that fella

Just finished putting the Gasser back together fired her up in 3 kicks B) Certainly noticed the compression increase and the bike just feels gruntier in the short ride I did up and down the street :woohoo: So Im back in the game yeehaa

Here is a list of what I did

    Head machined by Greg ball

new countershaft seal (there goes my auto chain oiler)

    new FT sprocket

rewelded the upper exhaust bracket retainer

    new flexible pipe mounts

    new exhaust gaskets
    removed cleaned power valve
    new power valve bearings
new FWD engine mount brackets I made from Stainless as the alloy ones are shite
repaired the LH radiator where I tore a core (epoxy bond)
repaired and modded power valve linkage
    blast and paint exhaust
    new Wiseco piston kit
    adjusted power valve timing
    new plug
    new grips
    new wheel bearings
    greased linkages
    renewed oil in Roc stomper

so now she is ready to rip :woohoo: :woohoo:

Nice work Ollie they always require maintance eh. I love the piece of mind that comes after a freshen up.

The piston replacement around the 1500km mark yeah do you have an hr meter? I am just interested as I heard some piston replacement hrs quoted the other day.

    Cheers Mate

    TB

I reckon ive put about 5000 kms on the original piston and rings (yes gasgas has 2 B) )and they were both still within spec :) I got the wiseco kit cheap off my good friend Stefan from R&D so while I had some major repairs to do after a serious off I thought I would change it out ;) I know of a Gasgas 300 that has 23000 kms on the original piston and rings (no not Diddels) so that is a testament of how reliable these bikes are if treated right.
