For Gods sake Mick, tell him please
Thanks Guy’s, Cucumber inserted.
In readiness for the Cameron’s ride, one thing on my list is a spare set of AAA batteries for my spot tracker. I have never replaced the batteries before and on the unit it says to use Lithium ones. Will it not work on garden variety Duracel Gold and Black ones or do I have to bend over that little bit further ?
Thanks Gaz
Gentls,
I have done a bit more sniffing around for Sat phones this morning and as it turns out, one of our business partners has them for both sale and hire. After speaking with them, we agreed on a price of $160.00 total for both units. No No, not a typo, that $80 bucks each. Pick them up Thursday afternoon and drop them back some time on the Monday when we return.
$16 bucks a head. F*%K I’m clever.

I woke up this morning, got dressed and went in the kitchen where my wife was already fixing breakfast.
I looked to see what she was cooking, and I see one of my socks in the frying pan.
“What are you doing?” I asked her.
She said, “I’m doing what you asked me to do last night when you came to bed very drunk,” she replied.
Completely puzzled, I walked away thinking to myself,“I don’t remember asking her to cook my sock…”
All concerned,
I had an absolute pissa of a weekendend even though my liver did get a bit grumpy towards the end caused by lack of lubrication I guess. Anyway, I managed to handle every thing that the Boss through at me however, I did find myself sliding down along a section of track (similar to the M7) with my bike on top of me at one point. Stalled the DR in a creek crossing only because my mechanic forgot to re route my breathers into the air box. (apparently). Probably need to repack all the bags as well because the 3 seater lounge and the kitchen sink take up far to much space.
Bigs thanks to TB for putting the ride on and all that participated in it. A big thanks to Boulder for keeoing an eye on me and the Left one for getting my bike going again in the creek. A little bit sore on the right shoulder blade but I blame the bike for that when it went down on me.Wait a minute, I mean when I threw it down the track with it on top of me.
Can’t understand why my spot tracker worked better than others. It is mounted so that it is flat facing the sky, not an a bracket on an angle. Who knows maybe that’s the key to it. (Going to slow, Ha Ha, I don’t think so)
Clean the bike, service the sucker, fit the EO9’s, repack and yeh har, let’s go.
Ooops, forgot to mention my Wing man. Thanks Krusty for keeping me in line even though I caused you to go bush on a couple of occaisions due to my bike not wanting to go around corners. Bit like riding a Hog actually. Cheers mate
