Nice report Ollie
Hope the foot’s feeling ok mate.
Highlights for me were
#Watching the Bulls lend a hand to others when required
#A tasty lunch[Good idea that one]The jury is still out on whether my sausage tastes better than Ollies
#Standing at the top of Greens Break hillclimb watching the action[Money can’t buy that sort of entertainment]
#That little loamy trail after Greens Break
# Coming around the corner to find Moto having a bit of a lay down[Thought he may suffer from sleep apnea or something]
#The way the ride flowed at a good pace without too many breaks
#The wildlife>I spotted 2 Echidnas,1 black snake and a Wallaby.
#Seeing the boys that left early know when it was time to call it a day before the fatigue sent them for a dirt nap.
#learning a few new trails that make it handy to link things up[Who said ya can’t teach and Old Bull new tricks]
# And last but not least everyone making it home in 1 piece.A few other things
1/Moto,next time you ask me if I know where I’m going and I say yes maybe you should say”Are you sure Pete?”
2/Ollie,You seem to reckon that I always forget something! Well your right mate>I forgot to have a crash yesterday.Dont worry it won’t happen again
.
3/Jeffro,Sorry to hear about your car dramas but it’s just as well you had the DR in the back to get you home
4/DanD,I left your sweep vest with Moto.
5/When I say I,ve got the maps I should actually carry them with me rather than leave them in the car
6/I should fill my Camelback at every opportunity.Doh!
7/Gili,I owe ya a couple of litres of fuel mate.
8/I thought I felt ok after 120ks as I washed my bike and gear straight away but when I woke up this morning it was a different story :S
9/Didn’t get any pics but Im pretty sure DanD did
10/Moto is a good bloke [for a Pommy] Geez I tell ya he looked good on that HondaThanks again to the Old bulls for another stella day out.Im out for the next week or 2 but look forward to the next one.
Cheers boys.I didn’t hear him say anything about it till we got back to the cars.Tough as nails those Gas Gas riders I tells ya

I didn’t say he didn’t crash, only that he didn’t crash the Red bike
Moto loved the Honda so much he felt safe enough to ride it without a lid.He didn’t crash it once….True story

# Covered in mud
# 06 not 07
# Ridden by MickThis is gettin cheaper by the minute
I’ve been to Lynches Paddock and Koala trail too but it,s been too long to get there without getting lost.Option 2 is sounding better by the minute
Never did I think I would make a snag list
Never mind be on the PodiumI’d love to own that puppy Mick but the bank balance doesn’t allow it
Torn handgrip  That’d have to bring it down to 2k dont ya think

Have to discuss with P-Dub but looking at the following tracks just need to link them up.
option 1 : ST in front of carpark,German point rd,bowes ? (big rocky downhill) old mill rd, then single track back to Wollombi rd, head towards basin and 3 ways find koala trail, lynches paddock, great North track possibly do some of the enduro trails then head back towards the Pines, I havnt got a map ATM so P-dub may have to work it out. Im good up to the 3 ways. The rest not to sure about.
option 2:same as above to Wollombi rd then head back to carpark for a refuel/rest/lunch snags on bread-bring your own:laugh: into ST opposite carpark ,down to Prickly ridge RD,left to Martinsville RD,greens break fire trail,do hill climb, cross over rd into single trail head towards Muirs,go left near muirs (great twin track fast stuff) find more single trail and the Mesh stuff, tricky uphill big loop around work way back up to muirs then into some old 4 day special test tracks and back to cars for a beer approx 100 kms
option 3 P-dub might have some good trails he knows of and let him leadOllie
I’m liking option 1 or 2 Ollie. Its been a while since I’ve been out that way.I looked at the map and have an idea but its not detailed enough to know for sure.I will be bringing the map this time so we can get out there and wing it.
Option 3 may result in you guys thinking I’m a clueless feckn eejit> We’ll save that for a later date eh
I’ve got a little gas BBQ that I’m happy to bring up if you want? If you could bring a few sausages for me Ollie I will be happy to fix you up for them.Ollie wrote:

Ollie
Dont forget taking Pics whilst in difficulty
Sounds good Ollie.Just been looking at the maps for a bit of an idea of where we will be heading.Haven’t been out that way for a while but know there is some good stuff out there
I’m keen for as long a ride as you guys are up for
I will keep my eye out for the the start time and be good to goOllie wrote:
Quote:Yep Im up!! Gili should be as well,P-dub?Ollie
Anzac day hmmm>I think it would be un-Australian not to ride wouldn’t it
Saturday is good because my bike is out of rego on Saturday at Midnight and I wont get time to sort that out till next week. The later the better for me as I’ve got to go away for work for a couple of days and will be back too late to get loaded for an early one.
What are we gunna do Ollie? Head west from the car park towards the Basin?
Anzac Day ride…..bring it on Digger :woohoo:Thanks TB it was good fun for sure.Seeya on the next one eh
Reds mate Pip taking the XR for a Sunday stroll.
I love this shot>At first glance I thought he looked like he was scrubbin it[Chad Reed style]
But then I realised he was actually goin a bit slower than that
When we got to the bottom there was a bit of mud :woohoo:
And Red charged through it like a demon on the LRP.
After a road section we started heading back towards Prickly Ridge and did a couple of steepish downhills.Tim makes a safe trip down.
And Murph follows.
And we all made it back to the cars in one piece.
Gili and Ollie load up to go home.
Thanks to everyone for a great ride and sorry I didn’t get pics of everybody but there is always next time.
Special thanks go to Ollie for lending me some body armour[Karma for that one mateand DanD for the offer of the same].
Murph>Thanks for sweeping mate.I should of dropped back earlier and let you follow the young bloke some more.
Ps I told you that that Red clay on the way out to retrieve your bash plate was the slickest stuff I’ve ever been on Ollie .I reckon we should go down there after a downpour and have a contest to see how long someone can ride diagonally without ending up on the ground :woohoo:
Seeyas on the next one boys -
