white rocket wrote:i now this does not help much but get a tyre suited to the terrain you ride look at a chart and get one to for the job
I agree Rocket but even that can be hard, we are blessed with so many places to ride within an hour of us and they all cover just about every different terain you could think of.
Does a tube make any difference in grip? ie. a standard tube verses an ultra heavy tube run at the same pressure, does the heavier tube act as extra strength to the tyre? giving you that feeling of a higher presure when riding.
A weird thought I know but it made me wonder.PTW
Tyres are a bugger of thing, everyone is different so the right tyre for me is the wrong one for someone else. :S
I didn’t like the 604 cause it just didn’t suit my riding, it took a bit to flog it out so I could get a new 404.
I think a 604 is a good tyre and good wearing and would definitely recommend it to someone in your position, but for someone like me who has trouble pointing a 300 in the right direction at the best of times  I would not recommend.Good luck mate.

Did anyone else find themselves leaning to the left as they watched that vid. :side:

Can’t ride this weekend either, ring you next week.He might want to take care and not get his cape caught in the back wheel
It wouldnt be pretty :side:I’m bummed I can’t make it, have a good weekend Murph.
Don’t mess everyone up too bad on Saturday mate, they still have to get through Sunday.  :sick:A mate of mine just sold his for $2800 so I recon you you could get that easy if not more.
Yours looks good and the scratches well it is a dirt bike, and they are a good dirt bike.
Good luck mate.PTW

I think when TB said 3 pork chops he meant 2 on the plate and one in the chair.
Highlights for me
TB’s house and the preview of what a good weekend it was going to be.
Having fun chasing Rocket and axle through the singles.
The redneck twins, you guys crack me up.
The grade 4 rides, just superb, thanks guys.
Jeffro and his incident infront of the local cops.
The crap that TB and Micknmeld give each other to try and hide a deep love that we could never fully understand.
Watching guys ride there bikes with so much skill that you ended up going off line because you were In awe.
Watching ChrisT ride his 690 with said skill.
Missind the rut of death at the very last second.
Turning around and watching ChrisT hit the rut of death and power out the other side unscathed.
Bol and the auction and the money raised, awesome.
Lefty, he may be short but bugger me he can ride.
Thanks TB and Chris, many more birthdays to come I hope.
Thanks to ChrisT and Ollie for trying to help with my car, really apreciated.
All the best to Aido and his family.
And all the best to Mick, hope your leg gets as good as new real soon.Bloody awesome.

Awesome weekend, it was good to put faces to names, then forget which name went with what face, then put helmets and riding gear on everyone and really confuse the crap out of me
Organisers, sponsors, lead riders, sweeps, support crew, hell yeah red neck twins, everyone, you all deserve a medal as it was one of the best ride weekends i have had
Thanks TB for letting me crash at your place Friday night, it was a good warm up
My weekend didn’t go as smooth as i would have liked, My wife’s cat pissed in my gear bag before i left and i didn’t realise till it was too late to do anything about it  then there was the first flat of the day, my brand new ultra heavy duty tube decided to shred the valve 15 klms into the ride  but it did give me a chance to teach Lefty and King STM how to change a tyre   the night went well except when i got into my swag i didn’t realize my pliers were on the canvas and when i flipped it over me I managed to fire them into the air and have my face act as a landing pad :side: :S Kram offered support in the form of laughter ( his not mine ) surely it gets better , but no, we got back at the cars and my car wouldn’t start cause some numb nut ( me ) left the lights on, ChrisT and Ollie tried there best to get me going but it was no go and they had to get home, thanks guys :cheer: :cheer: i finally got going and had a slow trip home with a few naps here and there and ended up going straight to work and having a shower, the day went slow as all i wanted was to get home and go to sleep :silly:
I would do it all again in a heart beat if it meant i would get a chance to ride great trails with a great bunch of blokes :cheer:
Bloody perfect weekend.
:woohoo: :woohoo:
