Count me in +1 :woohoo: (the mate who bought Lotsa’s bike). He will join up – knows the drill
Looks like country built for the WR (not the owner)Hey TB
Tried out the SPot last weeekend – thanks for the pics of how to attach to backpack strap. Couple of questions
The spot kept disconnecting from my iphone (bluetooth) even though not more than 300mm apart
I sent my spot address to mate but it showed on my link that the spot was not activated even though i set it up as per instructions and set it on track via my iphone – whats the deal??Linz
Yeah – thought about it (DR650) but the WR was too pristine and low k’s to not convert over. Makes an awesome adv bike. Anyhow my mate is happy as a “TB with a custom helmet”.
Good luck with the sale of the Duke – would be great to ad to the stable but would probably struggle in the 1st creek crossing
Let me know when going out – hopefully the moons align :woohoo:
No – actually my mate has bought it – i just set it up with Lotsa. He is keen as hell to join the adv/nav league.
No way I could part with the WR. Spent to much on it to park it next to the 800 to gather cob webs. Havin’ a ball on the thing now. :woohoo:Hey Squiggle
What’s up, does Mrs Squiggle want her trumpy back after seeing how you treat it. A set of knobbies and some enduro saddle bags and enduro from duffle from Adventure Moto would fit on the super duke – whack a bash plate on it – it’ll be fine
Seriously – nice looking bike. You obviously need to save some points on your licence

Yeah – I hear what you’re saying. I think the manufacturers wire bikes up a certain way just to piss us average folks off. :pinch:
I was glad to get mine sorted. Works a treat now. Good luck with yours. The flasher relay is in an area hard to get to. I finished up using a non genuine “Super Winker” flasher relay.
PM sent
Hey Squiggle
Bugger waiting – get him to put some knobbies on the Streetfighter – should turn a few heads

Thanx (it’s important you get your beauty sleep)- give’s me an idea as to what to do.
Shame they don’t have an actual holder designed for that type of application. Maybe worth making one – could make a $mill

Yes mate of course but you will need to wait until Saturday I am away mate

Hey TB
How’s that pic coming along ??
I found something on ebay that looked ok for $20 but they wanted $50 to post it – that’s not gunna happen

Yeah Mate – disappointed i can’t make August Nav Ride. now i have all the lights workin’ properly it would be safer if following me.
Keen to get out with you again for a ADV ride. Not many days off for the next 6 weeks, after that should be good to go.
Got all the electrical gremlins sorted – finished up being the rec/reg not set up properly.
The guys at Betta Bikes helped me get it sorted and now the bike is punching out over 13 volts with every conceivable thing turned on. Thankfully no road trip to South Aussie needed. I have got a new respect for Australia Post. Newcastle – Adelaide – Newcastle – 3 days :woohoo:
After a day out on the bike everything worked perfectly and the bike started on the button every time
Hopefully no more flat batteries
No worries Ace – I googled the mod before i did it to make sure there was no other options
I sat there for about an hour contemplating the pro’s and con’s of taking to my bike with a hack saw – surgery was quick and painless :pinch:
If you cut 65mm off left side and about 70mm of the right side that would give you ok access to the pre filters for changing.
It hopefully will be easier on the road (multiple ride days) to change over the pre filters with the spare set I have
Pics definitely make it easier. Let me know if you want some help doin’ the mod.

Finally got around to fitting the pre filters to my 800gs- i was a bit nervous about cutting down the air intake tubes but it opens up the inlet by about 10mm. Tried just removing the rubber boot first but the pre filters close up the intake holes to much.
I am interested to see how they go. Once back together they are a bit fiddly to get to but seems easier than having to take of the airbox cover to get to the main filter. Hopefully these pics help anyone else thinking about fitting the pre filters :woohoo:
Hey eagle
I’m heading down to the central Coast in the morning to see my Dad – here’s my link – interersted to see if it works ok.
