Thought I would give this a bump as I saw the post from “not from highway use”. I camped up there on the Saturday night with old girl. Was alot fun, first time up there ….we did a few smaller loops on the Saturday and then we went our own ways on the main loop on the Sunday. The tracks were great and I will definitely be back up there next. Was nice to briefly meet trailrider. :)

    Hi –h–,
I have a 2013 KTM 350 EXC-F, 1000kms, so far no problems other than rider induced issues

+1 on the 350, I am up to 3,200 kms and no probs yet! Everyone I have come across who has one seems pretty impressed with them and they are nice and light!

Rach, have trust in your new purchase, they are brilliant boots and do wear very well.

I have had my Sidi Crossfires for 5 years and the soles are far from wearing out,and they get a lot of use.

Those guys may have sharp aftermarket foot pegs??

    Cheers Marty

Ahhh good stuff, that’s what I want to hear! :)

Nice ride report, looks like a fun day.

Mal you just need to start bribing the right person! The first pic of you hitting stuff looks like you are killing it :woohoo: …. its just the second pic of you kissing the dirt that gives it away :pinch:

Ok so I just got a pair of Sidi SRS crossfires (in white as the only ones in my size – bit inconvenient cause when they are brand new AND BRIGHT WHITE you kind of feel like you need to moonwalk everywhere .. so prior to getting them dirty I did 😆 )

Back to my point … my old boots were fox comp 5 boots .. very comfy but felt EVERYTHING.

Hit my foot a few times on the maiden voyage of my new boots and didn’t feel a thing :) so money well spent.

BUT I will say this .. there were a few other guys on the ride who already had the sidis and weren’t to happy with how quickly they were wearing out .. the sole especially. Never heard that about a Gaerne and I would have gone with them if I could have found them in my size.. .just saying ..

Sounds like you all had a top day out bummer I missed it, after riding Saturday and still recovering from the flu I thought that I would probably only end up holding you all up so pulled the pin.

Decided to go on an easy ride with a friend instead … well ended up riding up Hitchcocks and down Whitemans …OMG I never want to hear those name again!”

On another note though …one of the things I enjoy about riding with Adam is you have the same bike .. so when something looks scary I watch you go up it and think .. ok same bike no probs! … looks like that wouldn’t have applied on this ride :woohoo: :woohoo:

    Hey Adam,

I should be good to go for this one if that’s ok, will confirm Saturday (got a couple of bike issues but should be sorted by then).

    No worries Rach.

If you need a hand come up early and we can sort them ;)

You won’t be too buggered from Saturday will you  I think we saw where they’ll be riding yesterday. One hill we couldn’t get up as it was too slippery  Michael only had one attempt and turned back

    Adam.

Well sounds like I should be fresh as…I wont even get one lap in Saturday if the hill is that bad   (side note – be sure to wear gopro)

Working on getting fit, and riding beats the gym any day! So should be good to go see you Sunday B)
