OK, I almost like Honda again, after leaning against a tree for 10 years and sitting out behind my shed for 2 years, (filling the front cylinder full of water), I rebuilt the Carbies and the bike runs like a top, sounds great and with a bit of coaxing the clutch works perfectly. So I drained the oil and now I can roll it around on the shop floor and finish the TIG welding(I don’t wanna pull the engine) After that I will eliminate the unwanted wiring and if everything goes to plan next weekend (Feburary 13th or 14th) I will give it a test run on council land out behind my place. Oh yea, the throttle cable was too short to reach the new handlebar position but my neighbor was standing there and quietly solved that delima when he said, “Why don’t you turn the carbies around” Problem solved. It’s good to have an extra set of eyes once in a while, the down fall is all the neighbors keep showing up with beer, and that tends to slow things down somewhat, but it keeps the cost down, because I don’t have to buy beer:) So far the bike has cost $200 in parts and materials and $100 in beer, oh yea, and a $150 bottle of Argon that the misses found out about today because the Postie delivered the BOC bill, on a postie bike, see, I knew there was a reason I hate Honda. lol

Farking Honda, 2 float valve assemblies cost me $135 from Honda Australia. Grrrrr. Then after rebuilding the carbys and attempting to install them I cut the O-ring on the linking fuel pipe, only after attempting to install the carbies about 20 times, I knew there was a reason I always hated Hondas, lol

Did a bit more work on the unimotorcycle today, getting closer.
Out of all the comments people have made upon seeing the thing for the first time, one thing I have never heard is “Can I ride it” I wonder why?

Hi all, Certifiable Crazy mate here, or charley , or that crazy yank to some:)lol. I must admit, I never seen the first vid of the guy “wearing” the unibike before I began this project, but I still would have done it anyway. I was looking for a project to get me back out into the workshop and when the AMC prezzo anounced the first official unimotorcycle drags were going to be held in Dungog in May this year I thought, “hey, I haven’t tested my medical insurance yet, lets go for it” lol. I was about 1 week from tossing the VT into the tip before this came along and thought what the heck, I’ll weld some scrap iron to it before I toss it in the bin, might be fun:)

I love the quote mick, I might engrave it on the bike somewhere, “You can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter, seems to fit this project to a T”
