About the only part of the “Swamp of Doom” that looks or sounds fun is the Sand Tracks and the Critter Spotting … the rest just looks cold and wet!! How about I watch you blokes go through the swamp (Ollie can push Mick in if he wants … or vice-versa), and I go around the swamp, on the nice (dry) sand tracks
Yep, I think I might totally wuss-out of the “Swamp of Doom” … we’ll see
Ollie wrote:micknmeld wrote:Yep Razzle, you were in the Maria River State forest. Couple of fun little rocky hills to play on in there. That is Ollies old stomping ground.Yeh Mate I know exactly where yoe are there. Wheere is the rest of the ride report and photies?
You will have to take a saw with you next time I reckon a lot of the tracks might be a bit overgrown with the dreaded Lantana. I might be up there late November so should be able to show you around, Kram (Goldfish) knows the area to the East pretty good as well. Plus he has some awsome tracks over his way closer to Cresent Head (like the swamp of Doom)

Ummmm, that’s about as detailed as my ride reports get at this stage sorry … and I was too excited to stop and take any other photo’s! There’s always next time
Not sure I like the sound of the “Swamp of Doom” !? :S

(me thinks this will be the problem) You will need to get the correct measurement and adjust the tab that operates the needle. This is most likely the cause, the KTM/Bergs have been known to have the floats adjusted too high from the factory. It’s easy to adjust.
OK, cool. I’ll look at fixing it as soon as I get back from OS before the next ride.
May as well chuck in the JD Kit at the same time … looks like I need to pull quite a few things off just to get good access to the carbie anyway!
micknmeld wrote:Could be one of a couple of things causing your problem.
1) as LC said a sticking float needle. (A tap on the side of the carb may fix it.)
2) a bit of shyte stuck in the needle and seat.
3) float level set too high allowing the fuel to keep running into the float bowl. (me thinks this will be the problem) You will need to get the correct measurement and adjust the tab that operates the needle. Thanks … I’ll give it the good ol’ “tap” first, then maybe put up with it till I change the jetting to the JD Kit

Check out Spot Trackers. I ride solo a bit and they are good insurance out on your own should things go wrong.STM
Yeah, thanks STM … I did have a few “sh*t I’m out here all alone” moments! And I will be riding solo a bit I reckon.
Any recommendations?
If one more person looks at my Husaberg, and then at me, and then at the Berg, and back to me, and says “are you sure your feet will touch the ground?”… “It looks really big compared to you” … I think I will punch them!
The moral to the story, get a Berg or KTM, they are quite “tall” (obviously).
BTW: I’m 5’8 and a half, but with kinda short legs (I’ve been told).

Thanks for thinking of me Ollie … but I’m on a bloody work conference in San Fran all next week … I’ll be half way across the pacific coming home while the guys are out riding for the weekend
no worries mate, You will have to make sure you get a mid week ride in at Maria SF
Ps when in San Fran make sure you go down to the Pier all you can eat Shrimp is awsome :woohoo:
Maria SF is a definite either Thursday Morning or a sneaky Friday arvo … spotted all the exit/entrance roads on my drive to the airport this morning and got excited :woohoo: like Kemps Road, Railway Dam Road, Middle Gate Road!
Have my list of SF eateries already mapped out, all that food is the ONE thing I’m looking forward to … plus a bit of shopping

PS What’s the fascination with being thrown to the Lesbians?? Most of the ones I see (Sydney) are N.A.S.T.Y biatches that you wouldn’t want to be thrown in their direction at all 😆 😆
EDIT: I apologise for the sweeping stereotype statement (above) that I posted last night. I actually know some beautiful people that are Lesbian. Apologies especially to any OBT’s that are Lesbian or have family that are. My bad, sorry.

moto wrote:Razzle/Scotty – Are you using ‘Actionconnect’?Yeah, I had trouble finding it I remember … took ages to track it down using all sorts of search terms. I’ve got it installed on my iPhone and iPad.
Just tried again in the App Store and can’t find it at all though … dunno what’s up with that??
I’m lovin’ that everyone is totally getting into the rockin’ video edit!
I’m shopping for a new iMac :woohoo: … (after October when they’re apparently being updated). Hello “tax deduction” now that I’m an official “remote worker”

Thanks Jeffro and Ollie, good info.
As mentioned in my other thread, yesterday’s Blat didn’t happen … but I’ve checked the area out on Google Maps and I’ll get maps from the camping shop today. Might take Wednesday or Thursday off work as a “me day” and go for it :woohoo:
The C90 Cub is cool Mick. 1968! and its still going strong and getting a thrashing by the look of it.
Would actually be worth a bit of cash in Sydney, retro is IN! You see plenty of pretty cool CT110’s and stripped bare step-through’s around, especially uni students etc.
Also, thanks for doing some research re tradies for me … would be great to find someone good via recommendation. As mentioned the garage under the house if first priority … then a big old (very cool) hardwood shed…… the house is last, it’s completely liveable for the time being.
