Dammit! Just read the details from the link you posted for the upcoming “Mr Vintage Mister Motocross 2012” in October …. I’m in China then so I can’t go watch

“Why, oh why does work have to get in the way of having a LIFE”!

So cant wait for this year to be OVER.

So, go forth and purchase while that credit card is still getting a workout 😆

Nice CR your mate has by the way. I liked it so much I’ve just put a spontaneous eBay bid on a 86 CR125 at Mudgee :silly: I don’t know how I’m going to pick it up if I win though

I’m on the lookout for the CR250 (credit card on standby) but haven’t found a good one yet.

I’ve got a couple of friends in Mudgee that might be able to help you out with the pickup (if you win).

Did you know someone pinched your avatar! …. in an ADV forum too!! There are two beer drinking roo’s out there!! At least he’s in Perth though :)

A mate of mine in Wodonga (that I used to race with) has really peaked my interest recently by trying to get me into some VMX. He’s into it in a big way with a classic and immaculate CR125 (whatever the last model was with the down pipe).

He went up to SE Qld the other week for some big VMX event, sent me video’s and photo’s all day to piss me off  including this one (below) of Glen Bell on his killer CR500.

Apparently the rules may be changing soon to be pre-90 instead of the current pre-86 (I think), so I’m on the lookout for a CR250rk ’89 model soon I reckon. Getting back into some MX would be awesome. :woohoo:

bugger me, you better press Boony’s “thank you” button Razz, being serious can also be painful for the big fella

Have you got a spare tube Razz ? we usually carry a 21 inch cause you can put them in the rear as well as the front, saves you carring 2 tubes.

    PTW

    Consider it pressed!

Haven’t got tube(s) yet, should I just be swapping out the standard ones for Tuff Tubes (ultra heavy duty) straight away? I read that for UHD tubes you should get one size down from the standard, is this right?

Nice one Razzle , look forward to seeing some footage , how about some free running around the Redfern sights to give us an idea of quality if the bikes a no go at the moment :)

They do look like a good alternative to the GoPro , did you get a mounting kit ?

    Nick

That’s everything it cam with Nick, the small tripod and the flat-mout plate with two stickies for it. It’s small enough and light enough to be creative with mounting it I reckon … we’ll see, plus TB mentioned that the mounts look the same as the Go-Pro which might open up lots more options.

Looks like A is the same or close enough mount as a Go Pro Razzle

B & C are the mounts that came with it are they? A sticky and a velcro band mount. If they have limited mount options sing out and I will send you a Go-Pro one to try because mate the look the same

    TB

    A: that’s interesting, so maybe?
B and C: yep, they came with it, a mount base with a sticky on it and a spare sticky … no velcro band mount or strap or anything.

Its’ really tiny (already said that) so mounting it will be dead easy

This thing is tiny, LOVE it!! It actually fits perfectly in the mouth opening/vent thingy of my helmet … gonna try that for an optional mount point.

Already downloaded to app for WiFi control/viewing etc .. will be a while before I can upload any action Vid’s from it though (you all know the story), unless my garage and back yard are of interest :) , or maybe the streets of Redfern

Thanks Nickj for the original post, I was looking for an alternative to a GoPro stuck to the top of my noggin’

(my photo’s on the stainless bench top are lousy, sorry)

Jokes and brand digs aside Razzle, get stuff that doesnt weigh much to carry on the bike, it’s amazing how much you can end up carrying! Then make real sure you have to carry it all, keep in mind having it at the car doesn’t (normally) let you keep riding its what you have with you that keeps you on the trail.
I like Ollies rag up the sleeve but have one somewhere else on wet rides or sweaty ones as the one up your sleeve gets wet or muddy real quick some rides.
As for the gear for the shed, sometimes if you aint a good mechanic its better to find a mate who is and then get him (or her – don’t want the ladies calling me sexist) to demo how to do stuff on your bike with thier gear/tools, don’t piss em off by continually going back but get the tips then ask what sort of gear they like and buy that cause you’ll already know how to use it.
    Like the response Moto!!

    Thanks Iva

Yep, there are actually some double-ups in these kits which I was aware of upon buying them … I’m not a bumbag kinda person so the plan is to consolidate only what is necessary and to backpack them.

I’m, an “OK” mechanic, only with a 2T which is my reason (one of them) for buying one … it’s the tools that I’m lacking after a long time out of the saddle and the Orange/Blue brand specific advice which I’ve found lots of in this forum which has been great.

    Cheers

    Hi Chris

    Agree with all of Moto’s plus;

“About Us” page is a mixture of fonts and colours, mainly unreadable almost.

“Users Online” in sidebar doesn’t match with the “Users Online” main-page

“Users Online” main-page says that I’m online, but the login area says”Welcome Guest”

More later as I find anything

See, I have been listening!

the advised goodies have started to arrive, lots more to come still including Kinchrome torque wrench (cheap!) from Chris in a day or so. There’ll be no strippin’ that oil level sight bolt for me (not that I’ll use it either, I’ll just drain completely and re-fill with correct amount). Oh the joy, my first ever torque wrench :woohoo:
