4 minutes in is alright as well
What gets under my skin
Going into a bike shop and not having the cash to buy everything i want
Not being able to ride every weekend
Not being able to buy a new model bike every 12 months
Not being able to ride various models of bikes at my whim
And coming to the realisation the “the older i get the better i was” :laugh:I have had a brush with prostate turned out not to be cancer but had to have a procedure to stop renal failure.
(hence the name rebore)
Not great but if i hadn’t had the problem checked out as early as i did i would have been in real trouble
I have PSA and uncomfortable checks regularly  as well as tell any of my mates in this age bracket to get it done.
I would gladly support any ride / charity get together to help the causeRebore.
G’Day Menace,
Pricing on the Scott OTG with fan was $129.00 but i did get the OBT discount. :cheer:
The perscription safety glasses cost me abot $350.00 but as they can also be used for my work i can claim this back on tax.
When i looked into the Goggle Man lenses i think that they only fit certain goggles
So this may be an added expense if your goggles don’t suit :unsure:Rebore
G’day Boulder,
I am interested to know how the Goggle Man set up goes.
I am new to having to wear glasses while riding and what i have now works really well.
I agree with the lazer comment, have a mate who just had it done.
He says it is great but i don’t have the 6.5K to get it done.
If i did have a spare 6.5K i would probably spend it on a new bike!Rebore.
Hi Snowy,
I bought the safety glasses from the optometrist.
The fan is very good, exhaust with 3 position control, off, sensing, and on!
I believed it was originally developed for snow goggles.
I bought mine from Suttos.
Mal helped me!Rebore.
Hi Snowy,
I did a recent ride at the Watagans with Scott OTG goggles fitted with a fan.
I put in a report about them, just to cut a long story short.
I had the same problem with my goggles and glasses so i bought a pair of single vision safety glasses with metal rims, Not the large plastic type.
I removed the side shields and they fit really well.
The fan in the goggles removes all the fogging which is great.
I thought about goggle man but if you remove your goggles, say when you stop or on a real snotty hill or just to have a look at your bike you can’t see.
Another advantage of having the safety glasses is that you can ride short distances without your goggles with no fear of a rock smashing your glasses.
Hope this helpsRebore
I was thrown a can of Motul chain lube at the Watagans Rally presentation :woohoo:
It’s not Motorex but may be just as good
Based on the information gathered from this thread about chain lube vs WD40 i will change my ways and give it a goRebore
Just thought i would throw in my 2 cents worth
I have used all sorts of chain lube in the past (all wet)
I have found that it either flings off and covers everything in a sticky mud filled mess and usually leaves the chain dry anyway. Or it becomes gluggy (technical term) and attracts dirt that sticks to the chain and starts to grind it away.
Somewhere in my foggy past i was told to use spray lubes like WD40 / RP7 and for last few years i have done just that
I have found that my chains last just as long if not longer and enough of the spray lube actually removes the grit from the chain.
Chain is much easier to clean as well
Mud and dirt doesn’t stick to the chain and i don’t have to degrease the wheel, tyre, mudgaurd & clothes after a ride :cheer:
Also i am old enough to have had an automatic chain lube on a dirt bike (Suzuki RL250) they were a great idea but to get the correct viscosity you had to run it on motor oil, you still ended up covered in crap at the end of a ride and sometimes you’d forget to fill it!Rebore
Welcome Mr Tee
Another KTM rider : :cheer:
The more the merrier 😆Rebore
Hello Chris,
Put me down for an XL tee shirt
Send me the bank details :woohoo:Rebore
I’m only chasing up on the jerseys!
I’ve already sent Kate at 4bp an email asking the size, colour, numbers questions
Forgot the beanie / undie / hoodies questions, i didn’t realise that OBs were so fashion savy 😆
I also have an interest in the sizing I like to think of myself as S.M. (small marquee).
Once i have the answers to my questiosn i will put them on a thread for OBT feedbackRebore.
Welcome OWL,
Only been here a short while myself but found everyone friendly
Even the ones that don’t like KTMsRebore
I dropped in to Suttos today for the first time as an OBT member
I met with Mal and bought some stuff :cheer:
Mal was extremely helpful and the team at Suttos were very friendly.
Can’t thank Mal enough for the assistanceRebore
They are on the 4bps web page if you want to have a look at them.
Haven’t seen one in the flesh yet!
I noticed that Kate is the lady who runs the business.
I dealt with her some years ago when she had RAT clothing.
She was very helpful then!
