Thought i would have my first try with photobucket.
If this works it should be a photo of one of the rest breaks on Sunday mornings 2/3 loop.
Hello Mick,
The OB in the picture is Action.Rebore
AH Mick,
All part of my cunning plan to look like i was struggling with the slippery creek crossing when in fact i was trying to get as many photos taken of me as possible.:laugh:  :whistle:Like everyone so far i had a great weekend.
Caught up with OLD Bulls and some NEW OLD BULLS and as usual not a bad one amongst them.Few thoughts and observations from the ride.
Rolling into Capertee with the temp at -4 degrees.
Catching up with Action who had camped overnight.
Pulling one of the first cornerman jobs and seeing bike after bike roar past.
Wrapping my hands around the muffler at the first stop to get feeling back into my fingers.
Following Mal on the afternoon loop (great ride thanks Mal).
Sitting around the camp fire and putting faces to site names.
The auction and presentations were a good laugh.
Thanks to all the sponsors.
Young Sam talking to me later that night in a new language.
(let’s call it Jackdanieleese).
Being kicked awake at the fire and told to go to bed.
Adam pushing me out of the creek on the loop on Sunday morning.
Another great 2/3 grade loop well lead by Mal and swept by Kram.
Joining the other six guys that got stuck on the hill.
Mick showering me in roost from the back tyre on his Massey Furgusson in the pine singles.
The trip back to Capertee in the afternoon with just about everything you could want from a ride, hills, singles, rocks, mud etc etc.
Talking to new OBT rider Stickman for about 3/4 of an hour waiting for everyone to come through the gate that i had to close. (i needed the rest at that stage).
Meeting up with different people on cornerman duty.As usual met some interesting characters, learnt some things, laughed a lot and rode my bike. All good!
Thanks to everyone for another excellent Old Bulls adventure.

May 17, 2011 at 5:27 pm in reply to: Heard a funny story made me think whats a dumb thing you have done #201458This probably should go in the hard to start bike catagory.
One weekend the KTM would not start.
I had just cleaned it, oil & filter change with fresh air filter, it was ready to go.
I wound the starter over and over but i could not get it to start, so i began to check all the usual,
Fuel on, air filter in correctly, check any wires that may have come off during service, still wouldn’t start.
So i drained the fuel bowl and changed the spark plug, checked for spark already but thought i’d change the plug anyway.
The battery went flat trying to wind it over so i began kicking it.
At about the third kick the bike gave a hugh backfire and started, ran beutifully idled too.
It was then that my golden retriever dropped the exhaust butt plug that i’d left stuck in the muffler at my feet.  :pinch: :whistle:Apparently it had shot across the back yard and he thought it was the start of a game.
Hello Menace,
I was in on the old thread but i am out on this one, i will be O/S.
By the way you left out on your initial post the “people that just don’t like Mexico or Mexicans”.  :unsure:Just trying to be helpful.

Spare brake and clutch levers cable tied inside airbox.
KTM not sure on other models if they will fit.
Looks like enough space for a spare gear lever as well. What can i say! It was a great ride!:cheer:
Adam has basically covered the guts of the ride so i don’t have a lot to add.
The trails were good with a mix of fire trail, singles and some hills to keep us on our toes.
It was good to catch up with the other Old Bulls and as usual a good group of guys to ride with.
I thought that Bull 400 thermos was a fair idea when i first saw it but i didn’t think it was obust enough for an off.
It appears that this is the case. so i made a mental note not to carry one based on my need to sometimes throw myself on the ground.
I would like to refute the whole falling off a cliff incident. As i explained at the time i thought that i had viewed the rare spotted quall and needed a closer look.
Being the conservationist that i am the need to roll down a few meters of rock strewn cliff, clearing small flora as i went was not going to stop me.  :pinch:
The story that i stopped and put my left foot down into mid air and then fell off my bike and down the cliff are totally unfounded and i will deny everything that Marcel and Sam saw.Great day, good tracks, good company, it doesn’t get better than that.
Thanks, Adam for leading, Sam for sweeping and all the other riders for the company and the laughs.
Rebore.
Welcome Bull 400,
I haven’t ridden the Sunny Corner Rally but i have ridden in the Watagans Trail Bike Rally.
I did last years and had a good time.
It was well organised and there was a lot of single trails in the loops.
Hard and easy tracks were well posted and plenty of sweep riders if you get out of trouble.
There were about 300 riders when i was there so in some spots it felt like everyone wanted to be on the patch of dirt i was on.
But i don’t consider myself to be a quick rider so maybe it was just me getting in the way.
My suggestion is go ahead and enjoy it, since joining the OBTs i wont be riding too many trail bike rallies in the future as i don’t like crowds.
Having said that i will be on the Birthday ride. 😆 :blink:Rebore
Cheap tent, sleeping bag, self inflating air matress.
All rolled up in a ground sheet,
I’ts about the same size as a swag when rolled up but i can keep everything dry in the tent.
Added advantage is i can get dressed out of the cold and rain.Hello Mick,
No, not ageist i consider myself oldist.
Welcome to the site,Rebore.
G’Day Adam,
I Have Achieved!:cheer:
I have managed to amass the correct amount of brownie points to be able to attend this ride.
A new record!:laugh:Quick questions:
How many Ks?
Do we re-fuel on the ride or are we coming back to the cars?Rebore.
