Lucky I didn’t post up what a soft excuse you had come up with then
I will wait with bated breath on your reply
If not will catch up at the Bday ride :woohoo:
Adam.
Togh but fair.
I have most of the above in my bumbag although i don’t like mine too heavy.
So i try and have my tools do multiple jobs.
I carry a leather man because it has pliers and screw drivers as well as knife, saw, bottle and can opener.
I have a tee bar 1/4 drive that i can also use with screw driver bits.
My levers are zip tied to the bikes frame inside the airbox, not my idea got it off the web, but means i have more sapce in the bum bag.
Tyre levers with various sized hex heads cut in them, spanners, spark plug spanner, chain breaker, bolts, tye wire, tape, spark plugs, allen key set, joining links, axle spanner, cleaning rag and other stuff i have forgotten.
In the back pack there is a tyre repair kit including front tube, co2 bottles, valve attachment, tube repair kit, hand pump and pressure gauge.
Also i include a small first aid kit and a lighter, if it looks like bad weather i throw in one of those cheap rain ponchos.
I don’t use a fender bag as i just don’t like having weight on my front fender.
I must admit that i carry tools that mainly fit my bike (as we found out on the birthday party pre-run) my hats off to TB for carrying spares for others.:huh:Rebore

Welcome to the old bulls Pezz.
You’ve got a lot of stuff in your shed, must be some shed.
I have heard of the Scrapheap Adventure Ride sounds like a good cause.
There are a few adventure riders on the site and i am sure you will hear from them.
Like all on this site they are a little strange but seem ok!
Unfortunately i do not have an adventure bike but this is more to do with funds rather than interest.:unsure:Rebore.
G’day Matt / Charlie,
Welcome to OBTs.
From the look of your avatar your a handsome devil like the rest of us!:laugh:Rebore.
Have to agree with TB on this one Mick.
I know what you are saying with Ballet though as my daughter used to do that as well.:S
But she has been into horses for many years and both my bank account and I wish she had stayed in ballet:pinch:
She does pay here own way now but nearly all of her money goes into her sport.
So in that sense it’s not much different to riding bikes.Rebore
My son started riding a PW50 when he was 4yo.
I was doubling his mother around on dirt and road bikes when she was 8 months pregnant.
So i guess he was really on bikes in his minus years.
He went through the whole mini bike club scene and did some racing.
It was all good practice and great fun for both of us.My daughter’s is into horses (show jumping) now if you want to spend some money on your childs sport this is a good one.

Hello Adam,
I actually meant the air filter but now that you mention it i have noticed that both you and Sam are unusually well groomed on a ride.   :whistle:Hello Roy,
I don’t know how you finished up with this problem but i thought i would give you some feedback on my similar brake issue.
I have a KTM450exc and on the last few rides i have experienced the rear brake fluid boiling.
I thought about getting a brake reservoir extension and even went to Suttos to get one.
The price scared me off a bit, so in desperation i went to the owners manual.
The manual says that you need to adjust the pedal height with the adjuster under the pedal stop to your desired height and then you need 5mm freeplay on the push rod in the master cylinder.
The 5mm freeplay is between the adjusting rod and the piston, so when you push the pedal up and down there is freeply before the piston starts to move.
I did this adjustment before the Birthday pre-run and i had absolutely no problems the brake worked as it should all the way through the ride.
I now have confidence in my rear brake, there were a couple of good hills and in the past the fluid would have boiled.
I didn’t change my riding position as i have had other bikes and not had the same problem.
I am not saying that this is your issue i am just pointing out something that worked for me.
I thought that i had enogh clearance but it says in the manual if you don’t have the freeplay then the heat tranfers from the pads as they expand.
Probably could have saved some time and brake fluid if i had read my owners manual in the first place. :pinch: :whistle:Rebore.
I use No Toil,
Haven’t had a problem.
I follow the instructions and it’s all good.
That being said i have 3 filters and change after each ride so i cannot comment on long term aspects.
I like the sauce bottle idea.
I assume Adam has his battery powered hair dryer for long trips? 😆Rebore
