Dont be surprised if you come home one day and you find a Kiwi with a tube of lube in hand and his d!#k in the exhaust… BMW- Bang My Wool :woohoo:
J/K looks bloody good mate, maybe think about getting one of those canvas dirt bike seat covers that slip on to keep in your camelbak in case it rains/gets real muddy
I will go a couple of the bumper stickers and a stubby holder if you have any left? What colours available and where do I send money etc?
Sounds good Moto! I think a lot of West Australians are slow to take up this internet thing hahahahahha Some say W.A. stands for Wait Awhile… Hopefully I can point a few more of the boys to OB! I am actually 3 hours south of Perth in the Margaret River region, so if you are coming over and have a few days to spare it is a nice place to visit and I will definately buy you a beer or two!

Quote:I am yet to try this technique as I am a bit concerned about me trying a controlled bike fall on our concrete garage floor :ohmy:Kylie if you want to practice it works in reverse for laying the bike down as well… just put your back to a side of the bike, grab the grip closest to you and the rear guard and take a step away from the bike so it starts to lean over to you and then just squat down until you have it touching the ground… easy! Dont worry unless you have a seriously weak knee you will be able to easily take the weight! You wont even have to make a face like this –> :S because your bowel wont even want to blow out your sphincter! hahahahaha
Kylie do you know the correct way to pick up your bike? Might make a difference? I can pick up my mates BMW 1150GS Adventure with a full camping load on it if I lift it right. You need to squat down with your back against the bike, with one hand on the lower hand grip and one hand around the tail (even better if it has a grab handle which I think the WRR does??) and just stand up with your knees and then lean back so your butt goes against the seat where it meets the tank and then just take a step backward and it will be up! I amnot trying to be a smart ass if you already know this, but thought it may help if you dont!
My mate has one and I rate it highly. Doesn’t have the same smile factor as the WR450F when you roll on hard, but can keep up well and as an all rounder I dont think you could beat it! Excellent little bike. Sure beats doing the transport sections on a enduro bike and if you had to ride it to work, no problems… wouldn’t ride my 450F anywhere on road if I could help it!

Nice part of the state down there. Greener than the northern parts.
Do you go and chill out at Margaret River and be all alterate and that?
JAK, it is greener down here but up north is pretty cool as well, some great riding out in the Goldfields and Pilbarra regions… can never get the bloody red dust of your bike though eh!!
As far as getting into the alternative hippy ways of Margaret River… mate I ride a dirt bike… dont really fit the profile!!! hahhaah more in to cutting new single trail than hugging trees… still try and do the right thing by the environment though, just dont let it cramp my lifestyle!

Murph the surfMurph I originally moved here for the surf, but have since all but given up on surfing as I became more and more bike obsessed… it is a nice part of the country to live though mate, you are spot on there. And I am enjoying the site already, you’re a friendly bunch which is always a good thing!! Are there many WA members of OBT??

Here’s a couple of vids from some of my recent rides, I am trying to use my VIO POV as much as possible, but finding time to edit is the problem…

Yeah saw that, good to see the TE610 in the Safari. I was a crew member for one of the riders last year, but it was more of an excuse to ride with the Safari and camp in the bivouac at nights. It was a good experience… maybe do it again next year. As for racing… well those guys have to be fit with the ride time they put in then the lack of sleep that comes with camping around hundreds of bikes and 4wds that are being constatnly worked on and revved all night long!!! Sad to see the injury list is growing this year… good luck and ride safe to the OB Team!!! Go Husky!!:woohoo:
A bit of carnage out there so far this year eh!!!
