    Hhmmm,

    1) “Riding for recreation”.
Would challenge the STOP order as Im riding to round up the endangered potaroo, so its really farm work, not recreation. :P

    2) Keep bikes quiet with decent mufflers, noise is the enemy. I have been guilty in the past of fitting a muffler cos it sounded good, and was loud. Think its time we changed our mindset on that.

    3) Who is the enemy ? The overwhelming majority of problem riders would be un rego’d hoons. I’m all for stopping the hoons cos their bad behavior reflects on us.

    2c.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks Tramo for organising a top weekend, we should do that every year for sure.

Nice to meet you Tramo Dan Bubba and all, and ride the trails and forests.
Just loved that trail thru Mt Werong State Forest.

A bit of a pity there were some young’uns mouthing off a bit at the camp fire Sat night – no biggie. Did any of them ride at all ?? :P

Hope to post up some pics and vids soon.

    Both great bikes.
Both are what I call “highly strung” bikes. Be prepared to spend a bit of timemoney on maintenance for both.

The kato pips the honda imho.

    Better brakes
    Better suspension
    More ground clearance
    Larger tank
    Same weight
    Double the warranty

The down side … The orange machine could do with the Fan kit as it runs quite hot. Most things orange tend to be a tad more expensive.

Good luck, either way, Im sure you’ll love your new ride.

    OK cool,

Good to hear that all is going well.

Do you think decent knee braces would’ve prevented the damage ?

Ill have an each way bet on this.

I have bought from OS, and actually just received a package from the US yesterday. The 2 items I bought were available in AUS, for an EXTRA $150. I am not embarrassed to say I love having that extra $150 in my pocket.

I have always bought all my riding gear, and lots of accessories and bling, from my local bike shops. Some of that $150 I saved will most likely end up in a local shop.

There are times when people cant afford to take the higher moral ground, as there is simply no room in the already stressed family budget.

Ive seen identical items in local shops, and the difference in price for them is huge. Assuming they all buy from the same wholesaler, why the difference? Some local dealers think they can charge what they like ( or what they can get away with ) and are simply ripping the punter off.

It pays to shop around. There is nothing wrong with competition and hopefully Aussie shops are upping the ante ( as Suttos is ) and taking affirmative action.

As was mentioned earlier its a 2 way street … public retailer.

Perhaps the wholesalers need to smarten up here, provide more support to their customers ( the bike shops ) perhaps implement some strategic JIT purchasing scheme to be more resposive to movements in currency. (JIT = Just in Time …. where you dont keep much stock, but can have it instore tomorrow).

    My 2c worth.

Just order one from cyclebuy in the US for $80 US, plus Case saver and nuts and bolts spares kit.

May as well buy now while AUS$ is good value.

    Get it here.
    http://www.cyclebuy.com/husaberg/accessories/exhaust_engine_parts.htm
    or
    http://www.offroadboss.com

The husaberg fan and the KTM fan are one and the same, even same part number.

I tried to order it from ktm-parts.com, but they rejected my order and told me to buy it from a local KTM dealer.
Didnt have that problem when ordered from a Husaberg online reseller.
