Nice one mick! You have chosen the pick of em I reckon, the adv is right up your ally been an xr650 rider.

We will have a new model 13 f800gs demo in about October. Come ride the adventure Scotty, it’s the pick of the gs range and just came down in price by $5000!

Sorry just saw this, I will get our main husky tech to check it out Monday and we will see what we can come up with. Do you have any photos?
I’m assuming you are replacing the inner gasket, have you cleaned all old gkt material off mating surfaces thorughly? You should be able to check the the thin water pump housing plate for trueness on a piece of glass or similar, its $70.96 to replace if buggered (we’ve never sold one). If you have some light wet n dry put it on a piece of glass and rub the housing surface in circular motion to get it dead flat.
The mechanical seal that seals water side to oil side, does it have a tell tale drain hole in that pump housing (i’m not familiar myself but will check with our techs) if it does the oil leak may be coming from the seal (i’d replace the seal anyhow its only $11.50)

    Ur right it’s the single.
Just to make it even clearer they are about to intro an f700gs which is the twin 800 with more low down torque but not as much power as the f800gs….my head hurts!

As part of BMW repositioning the price on the vast majority of models in their lineup you can now buy a 650 sertao for just over $12,000 ride away inc abs (switchable for dirt).
That’s got to to put them in the market compared to a DR650 with piles of accessories bolted on.
Come and ride our demo and see what you think!

I’m probaly going to ride the same 07 1200 gs adv, I’d wreck our new demo lol although the new twin cam ESA bikes are so much better in the bush!
The 800’s are good but I much prefer the big boxers, even in the bush. Traction is better cause that boxer fires so evenly, you just have to totally adapt your riding style to them and they are awesome! Besides men ride 1200’s in the bush lol
Are any ob guys going on the safari? I’m probably only able to do 2 days around port n down to Forster.

I do have a few used mx bikes that we really need to turn into cash!
We just sold an immaculate 08 for $4000 so I think 4500 private is up there.
Check http://www.rockmotorcycles.com.au and click used bikes, there’s an 09 crf250r that was my brother in laws. It’s done very little riding and he’s not a hard rider(runs back of pack in o 35). It has white plastics but we have another set of stock ones if u want them. No trade we will do a good discount off any of them.

I think that by November the 12’s te310 will be sold out at the current discounted price.
I have one left on the floor and pfg (importer) list low stock on their dealer portal.
Te250 12 are nil stock at pfg, I have one left.
13 model te310 is due about December.

Is the 310 much like the 250 2T?

    There’s alot of differences between te310 and 2t wr250.

No matter how good the bike I wouldn’t buy it if looked like a giant POS!

I must be the opposite. I’d buy the bike that handled best out of the crate (no after purchase costs). What I’d look for is handling, reliability, after sales service, closeness of a good dealer. Couldn’t care less what it looks like. They all look the same.

Rode the husky 449 the other day. Only a short burst under limited conditions but was impressed. Excellent ergonomics. Took me a while to get used to the 4T power delivery and rev/gear combo but after that all was good (you know you’ve been riding a 2T long enough when a 4T feels wierd). The motor seemed noisy to me, but again, that might just be me not being used to 4T noise. I seem to remember my old wr 250 sounding like it would blow any minute. It was stock standard and it was one of the only bikes I have felt comfortable on standing up. The distance between pegs and bars must be a bit bigger. Glad to see a manufacturer realise that the average bloke is taller than 5 foot.

I’m a 250 man though. Do the 250 come with a kick starter? Are they EFI. I know it seems the new way but it’s just nice to know you have a kick starter if required. Maybe I’m just nervous because with KTM 2T the kick starter will be required.

Yep the TE250 does come with kick start and efi albeit the 12 model kickstart is useless if battery totally dead(13 will be battery less efi, just battery to run electric start, and yes a kick start).

Have to get yourself some motard wheels n throw some racing wets on so you can thrash it round green hill short circuit (west Kempsey). They are also running a stock wheel class now if you don’t want to dick round.

http://Www.hvmcc.com.au will give u info on the Hastings valley club mx track.

Miknmeld is the man if u wanna go trail riding in wauchope area.
