nice rack, is it an official one or a hand made thing? i could do with some sort of luggage solution on my xr
pure motorbike porn
i need to go to this, it looks awesome. sadly my bike cost me more than that so i’ll just have to go watch, if i happen to be in the area at the right time
i’ve got 2 stoves with me, one is one of those tiny things that fits onto the gas bottles. i still havent used that one yet as it takes up so much space when assembled.
the other is a swedish army trangia thing, which runs on meths and has the pots all built in.
its simple, rugged and easy to use, only problem is its slow and finding meths isnt always easy.
back home i have a coleman 533 stove, which runs on petrol. diddnt bring that because its danm hard to start and likes to leak fuel everywhere and there be too many fiddley things to go wrong.
so i think the trangia thing is the best option, and because its self contained i carry it on the outside of my bag, so it doesnt take up any space.ok thanks, i’ve got your number. as soon as i finish here i’ll give you a bell and make my way there. it will probably be sometime end of February.
i’m up near brisbane, but if you can help sort the bike out i’ll head back down towards you.
it will be a couple of months before i can do that though, i’m stuck here till my visa is extended.
just do a check to see if what you’ve got is any good, i’m allready on my second rear wheel.thanks for the offer, but the hub is also knackered. really need a whole new wheel.
i’m still alive. landed myself a nice job on a kiwi farm up tamborine mountain, so i’m up here for the next 3 months.
XR600 be going well, but seems to be burning through alot of oil.
got talking to some bikers in town and turned out one of them was the father of one of the best mx riders in aus, so he offered me loads of free stuff from his lads sponsers and a bike service. good times.whats wrong with taking a skateboard? the real problem is the spare tyre now. i get such funny looks when i carry it into hostels (i’ve decided to call it beatrice, the tyre that it). i had to carry it through the middle of brisbane today which is where i’m staying untill i find a job.
it’s me, the bloody pom who broke down, my name’s chris.
yea, thanks for everything mick and for the offers everyone, i’m safely on my way now (sort of, with the amount of crap i’m carrying its a wonder the thing still goes)
heading north now, might find this countryman of mine on my travels.
i’m sure you’ll be hearing more from me soon. -
