So all in all there a handy bit of kit. do you have to wear them with boady armour, as i prefer to not wear any, only a back brace.

Just reading through the thread, i had not heard of auto clutches on bikes other than old ag bikes i think. So does this mean you dont use a lcutch at all? or what is the deal with them?

So in the end did the event go ahead? i just read through the whole thread and it sounds like a ball. Would be awsome to be part of that. So how good of a rider do you need to be a sweep rider? i need something to aspire too lol

Interesting discussion here, as i tried to get the dealer to fit one for free when i bought the bike but he didnt bite. But i am looking at one as i was stuck on the trail the other week. Had to get the missus to come out with jumper cables. Btw how hard is the DRZ to kick out of curiosity? as i tried kicking my mates husaberg 570 or something and i couldnt get that going. Wasnt playing the game at all.

    Gday all,

I bought a one man tent shown in the link below. In a nutshell, this tent packs into a size of 400mm x 150mm dia including steel poles. I have been through Nth QLD wet season torrential rain in one and only been damp due to condensation or slight weeping throught the seems. I use it with a sleeping bag but if i use it when its cold, i will use a rated cold weather bag or have enough piss to nmb me up before sleeping so i dont feel the cold too much.

Prior to using the tent, i set it up at home and set the guy ropes up, to allow an easy setup whilst out in the scrub.

I bought mine for $110 off the net, including delivery and a pillow of some kind that never gets used.

    Gday all,

Since the topic is on swags or tents the obvious can be said that swags are bigger and warmer then tents, but too hot in warm months and to big at times for bikes if you use a matteress in them. Tents are too cold unless you have a sweet sleeping bag. In the end i have a simple formula i go with. If i go riding i use the tent in the attached link, this has proven itself in torrential wet season rain in Nth Qld, and kept me dry with only minor condensation within it. But this has to be teamed up with a sleeping bag. At the same time take into consideration because i do, that if you do sleep in a small tent after riding and most likely having a few or many brewskies, you wont feel the cold that much. Dont get me wrong you will still feel it, just not as much.

BTW the tent packs up to about 400mm by 130mm dia, including poles. It works for me.
