I recently changed from a ZacSpeed with their own compatible pressure suit. Needed modifications ie: remove the plastic shoulder cups as they restricted movement. Other than that it has been a great bit of gear & works with a Leatt
Currently using the Alpinestars BNS pressure suit. Hardly know you are wearing it, works with Leatt, zip off elbow pads & back protector. Don’t think I’ll be wearing it during summer as I seem to get extremely hot wearing it.
jimmy wrote:Just had my bike blow up at the Yellow Mountain race. Its an 08 model I bought new. Regular oil changes but has done a fair amount of racing pony expresses and 3 Yellow mountain races and 1 Condo 750, so some high speed stuff.
It started missing, I pulled up, it was rattling and then it seized. I just pulled the top end down and there were no dramas, but the big end bearing is seized and the oil was full of brass coloured metal shavings. I will have to split it to see what else is stuffed.
Is this common in these 450’s? Is it worth fixing or what are the chances of finding a complete second hand motor to put in it?Interesting………
Everyone says the CRF a stronger engine with the separate oil circuits.
My WR has done 3 Yellow Mountains, Condo 750, Finke, a bit of Hattah, & a few Condobolin Enduros one of which is similar to Yellow Mountain for terrain as well as heaps of trail riding.
Still going strong. I did a top end last year for piece of mind, should never of touched it as it was like new inside
I occasionaly take a GPS on a ride, sometimes when it is organised, sometimes on my own ride & then I’ve also taken it to races.
It stays in my backpack & has never come out or been needed whilst on a ride.
I have a huge database of files that I use only to see where tracks have changed, how close to another track I was on etc.
The last ride I used it was Lotsa’s 5 forest ride purely to see where I’d been during the day, there is no way that you could retrace a ride like that using a GPS. I did share the file, sent a copy to Lotsa!
Most rides I can memorise on the run, badbowie says I’m a human GPS, that will be tested in late September, & on that ride No GPS Allowed.

Read it people, read it
“For posting your picture, you get a complete Fork or Shock service for just $120. Thats not just the labour, oil & gas, but everything; seals, bushes, and any other parts needed to get your forks or shock back in shape”
Thats a relief, you read it the same as me.
There take was $120 + parts & you couldn’t use the 20% July deal or any other offer with it
Funny how when I went to pay for mine last week it was a s@&t fight for the $120 deal, a certain office manager/secretary didn’t want to let the deal go through.
Anyway paid the $120 for a fork service, new seals etc for less than it’s worth to do myself
Seems as only one person seemed to know what the deal was, & he wasn’t there.
Can anyone help me with what the below says, from the Teknik Facebook site, as I’m not sure if I read it correct,
First, share a pic on our facebook wall showing your bike with Teknik stickers on it. Don’t have Teknik stickers? Don’t worry. Get some crayons out and get creative! Let your kids do it! Anything goes.
For posting your picture, you get a complete Fork or Shock service for just $120.
Thats not just the labour, oil & gas, but everything; seals, bushes, and any other parts needed to get your forks or shock back in shape.AND
You also go in the running to win a complete suspension make over to the value of $1500!
And the best suspension guys in Australia to help you with it.
So go get that camera out!Trailboss wrote:FIFO ? sorry I dont understandThats great for the Condo club mate. Good luck you are living the dream
I cant wait see it unfold for you
TB
Fly in Fly out, just like all the other Condo members
Trailboss wrote:Nice update SB, thinking of updates how is your Safari preparation coming along? Would love to see Cyril in action, can he beat Grabbo, the Smiths and SB on home turf you reckon?TB
FIFO
This year around around 10% of Safari moto entries are Condobolin Auto Sports members.
As for the result, anything can happen, I’m sure having Cyril here will ensure plenty of competition up the front
Evil Rudy wrote:OK F.o.T.s (Friends of Teknik), Go to our Face Book page, like us, and post up a pic of your two wheel love with a teknik sticker somewhere on it and you win yourself a fork or a shock service for $120 COMPLETE, final, and no more to pay! Check out our Win tab! If you post, you go in a draw to win a $1500 suspension makeover!http://www.facebook.com/TeknikRacing
Don’t have a teknik sticker… make one… we don’t care!
*Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, words spoken and approved by Evil Rudy, Penrith*
Can’t believe only 3 people have posted up, & they are all Old Bulls

Cheers

I keep it stashed under the rear seat on my Roadie along with a Tubeliss repair kit & CO Inflator kit, tight, but it all fits in.
TB forgot that the ciggy fitting is actually a Powerlet with an adaptor, wouldn’t bother with a ciggy fitting after using Powerlets. Shame the importer of the Powerlets is a tool

axel wrote:You guys must be heavy on the go pedal. It took me 5.5hrs from Dubbo to the Central Coast for the Murphsburg via Cessnock. Dubbo to Lithgow 3.5 hrs. From Murphs to Macksville would be approx 3.5 hours, so all up 9 hours as stated.
axel wrote:Hahaha now we’re talking. Sounds like a good start to a plan Galey. It’s 12hrs to Macksville via Bathurst from Dubdub. :We did Condobolin to Macksville in 12 hours last year, so you should be able to do Dubbo in 10 hours relatively easy,
In hindsight it would have been quicker to come back via Sydney than go the way we did
Or Dubbo via Mudgee, Lithgow, F3 Macksville should be under 9 hours
BellingenEv wrote:Not mine sb you can thank two locals boys for them, only about 20% are marked so there is heaps more, did you complete yodas planet it would take 45 mins all premium stuff ,like you said they have put in a lot of effort, call me next time there is a 130 km loop that is as good as it gets but youll never find it ,there very secretive.
cheers evWe started where we crossed the highway at Upper Warrell Creek Road. Straight into singles, then new stuff that had been cut through Lantana. Then 3 or 4 tracks we’d ridden before. Then the stuff that follow/crosses the main trail many times then down into the creek, found the other entry exits from the creek up to Sugar? Trail then on up to Bulls knob, shame it’s been graded as it was a good snotty hill.
The Trails we saw guys disappearing into were well hidden, they crapped themselves when we turned up.
Will let you know when we are heading up again, this was a short notice trip.
Ev, you right.
Think we found most of your new trails, you’ve put a lot of work into them.
Some really good riding over there
Found your markers, then just need to look for the trail close by.
We ran out of time & had to get back over Yarrahappini ( these trails are Lantana covered) before dark, saw some other bikes heading into some camoflaged trails north east of your stuff, we’ll check them out next time

Great day Murph, all that technical stuff at the begining didn’t want to ruin the day within the first 15mins of riding. Will give it a go next time along with Amazon hopefully. You can keep that drop off before lunch for the moment though.
