That should be taken up with KTM Australia maybe being thats their fault? As for pre paying that’s the same everywhere from my experience
Just by 2 cents worth
TB
Available in Sydney, at around 20% less than quoted, when freight was added it would have been around 12% cheaper.
Could buy same item online for 20% of Aus retail, guess thats why I don’t ride a KTM.
As for gloves, If I buy riding gear I don’t buy gloves, I only wear one type/ style of glove. Whereas I’ll wear most riding gear if it comes at the right price.
Now if I was to buy riding gear, to get the price match I need to buy gloves as well. Why would I want gloves of the same brand as the riding gear if they aren’t my choice. False economy to buy gloves that you don’t want/need to get a price match
It’s not very often I buy a complete package, a bit limiting when you need to buy gloves to get the discount, everyone has there preffered brand & style of glove, doesn’t mean I need riding gear to match.
I’ll keep buying closeout gear, for me it’s function over fashion, doubt we’ll ever see complete closeout packages for less than $60 here.
I did go in there the other day to buy a part from the Hard Parts catalogue & was told to pay now for a minimum 6 week wait. Unfortunately I didn’t buy it, why would I when I can get it within a week myself
Congrats Capt, Great to see you out there doing something you enjoy & getting paid for it.
Thanks Ev & Macca for a Top Ride
We’d been down the hill to Crossmaglen Rd twice before, both times in the wet & it was always the point of no return. Now I’ve been up in the dry & that is one awesome hill amongst some other close contenders that we rode during the day.
The ride had it all Fast trails, snotty hills, creek crossings, wet logs & lots of Lantana.

The cemetery is on Lyon St.
A massive storm cloud came over today, but no rain and forecast is looking not to bad.
Cheers EvBadbowie & I should be added, don’t want him to drive 600km then not be included, will let you know if we need to be taken off the list.
By my count that will make 12, if bad bowie & I make it (thought ride was capped at 10?). We don’t want any bad karma if we turn up with our limited riding experience
badbowie & I are maybe at the moment. I’m up here & bike less. Depending on the weather as to what will happen with us
The prerequisite list for the ride is a bit high for us hacks, but we’ll give it a go if we can.

Quote:Gday Hatto,Boris has an axcellent rep around coffs.Ive never been but I only hear good things he knows the coffs coast better than anyone,he picks the course for the 4 day. Some of the other companies have left ribbons all over the place to find their way,Boris doesnt need ribbons and i hear he is an absolute gun .Shame Coffs coast isn’t going to happen.
We do our annual (invite only) Coffs to Stuarts Point ride with one of the original partners in Coffs Coast.
We used their maps, Didn’t see a ribbon anywhere he got us down to the Pub With No Beer @ Taylors Arm, then I took over for the run to Stuarts Point. But then WTF would I know?
That ride as a return ride would be heaps total of 260k for us one way or 200k to the Pub, then back it up & ride it return next day would be huge

Looks like a good fun event.
We’ll be running a 2 bike team more than likely.
6 hours of riding, will know the track well after that amount of laps

Action
:huh:Haven’t been there for a few years. I enjoyed it as the track had big & small jumps ie: small on the left large on the right, made doubles easy as you’d gain confidence on the small jumps then move to the bigger. the main track is looooong a good test of stamina
Not a lot of enduro tracks
Grass (dirt) track was fun
He had a couple of other tracks hidden in the bush enduro cross & a small supercross(single track) if you got either wrong you’d take a tree out.

Quote:Great report mate. Nice pics too. That stick is just plain scary. What happen for it spear in like that?
It was a fallen tree lying parallel to the track, it hit my shin & then speared up through the air box.

Quote:Only a week to go for this one, what have the trails been like Ev?We did Coffs – Bellingen – Taylors Arm – Stuarts Point yesterday & there were plenty of one way only trails North & south of Bellingen. Some of them would take a lot of good weather to be able to ride them reverse
