Most of Galey’s Gang will be there Trailraider. MickKTM300, Marty450, ClarkyKTM, Gocman and Kimbo.
I agree, it is a top event with sweet trails and 2 nights camping.
See you there.
Axe , the packing was good and the core was clean enough that I didnt have to wire brush it. Motorex oil at 45:1.
The packaging states it is for 2 strokes but I think the 4 stroke riders would also benefit from a little polish on the pipe work. The repacking material may also be used in the 4 stroke silencers. I cant be sure though.

Still heaps of gel left for another 2 or 3 uses.
Pros: Everything you need is included. No looking for a brush or running to the hardware shop.
Generous amounts of packing and gel.
IT WORKS!Cons:SOME fumes from the gel chemicals at work on the pipe.
GaleyKTM300 Rating = 9/10

Applied liberally with supplied brush. CAUTION: SOME HARSH FUMES WERE PRESENT AT THIS STAGE FROM THE CHEMICALS IN ACTION. My well vented shed was not enough to stop me getting a whiff now and then. Maybe a fan blowing from behind you would help.
Give it a good hit with the supplied scrubbing pad and some elbow grease.
Wash it off with water and admire the sparkle. I added silicon spray to the pipe to stop it rusting again. Not sure if this will keep it at bay or if the spray will burn off.
I was so impressed I applied it to the silencer pipe work.
Onto the pipe. The kit states the pipe should be removed from the bike, and I agree it would be a pain trying to do it in place.
Note the dull look.
Supplied cleaning Gel. Once again a generous amount.
Powercore fitted with the end cap then the main section.
Back together and ready to quietly rumble.
This crud must have been slowing me down somewhat! This was from the tail section and may have caused the discolouration with some extra heat!
All cleaned up ready to assemble.
Generous packing to suit all types of silencers meant that I needed to trim abit off.
All gift wrapped ready to go back in.
Thanks Nick.
I lubed up the rebound adjuster while i had the shock out for a new Heim joint. It really is a 10 min job.I am running the Spot 2 from ADV Moto. Thankfully I havent had to use the SOS button and I never hope I do. A ride buddy broke his femur deep in the forest and it took forever for the ambo to be despatched and then find us. This prompted the purchase after a tip off from TB.
Some of my mates are on my OK list and dont they just love getting the OK message on their mobiles while they are at work on a monday morning!
Either way …Just do it!

RichHi Rich350
Welcome aboard. I trust you and your mate had a sweet time on Sundays ride.
Lidsdale is still revealing itself to me and it keeps getting better. I have done a few rides with lads that know the place well.
Catch up one day
Galey
The Three Amigos Ride.
LC (Berg 450), White Rocket & I (both on 300 KTM’s) gathered at Lidsdale for some G4 action of the sweet singles on offer. We camped and had a top couple of days in the bush. We had some top conditions with rain the night beforehand with no dust and primo traction. Mostly, I led but at times the lads were given the led role.
We covered Marys Track to the Wolgan Valley Lookout taking the usual pic.
Over to the Spanish steps with me leading up the hard line and hoping the others would follow. The log track and BoB’s waterhole were next up with LC riding his Berg across while Rocket and I pushed the little 300’s to safety. The climb up was uneventful for the 300 with LC found to be picked up the Berg after a nasty rock section caused a layover.
A quick FT blast saw us linking up with another awesome ST that took us back towards the Eagles Nest track. Back onto the BFH FT and off again we hit Marys in reverse for a short sharp session before hitting Babylon or The Ravine Track depending on who you ride with. Going up The Ravine stopped us with a bit of manhandling the bikes and wheel spinning brought into play.
A quick breather and we pushed on into an overgrown ST that would keep Lantana man busy for a week. A dead end was the result and back onto the Eagles Nest track with the bypass taking us back to the start of Babylon and over to the FT.
The track finders have been busy of late and a newish ST that cuts out a chunk of FT led us back to the BFH camp where LC & I had a play on Grabbo’s Hill. Rocket was happy to give it a shot on LC’s berg! A 4×4 stopped to watch the madmen at play.
Hunger pains drove us to hit up our camp for a feed set up for the night and refuel the bikes for a late arvo sess.
TBC
Going away for the weekend Krusty and will have to miss it mate.
Have a good one.
