Rocket , send the love the way of the lads who put the tracks in. Mal5.1 and KTM_Rules get the props for showing me what we did the other day. Abit of exploring doesnt go astray either. True single track gurus those lads!
Yep, lets get something sorted at Orange or at Wolfie’s when it cools down more.

January 17, 2013 at 8:57 am in reply to: Forestry NSW is closing all State Forests in the Macquarie Region #235643Thanks lads.
Hopefully the cool weather and forecasted rain for the weekend( Bathurst) will give the firies a break and open the forests up. :woohoo:

LED ZEP[/quNo worries Murph……………
I will be leading all of the rides as usual!
In an effort to get Rocket to come and play I want him to show me Rules’ G4 loop he rode on Saturday. Still with me?
Failing that I will have loops to do, but they may not be G4. Still good?
KTM_Rules, can ride, and I love riding his loops. OK! Clear enough.
I will be there hot or not.
Camping will be at the grass track.Galey
KTM_Rules where are you…………..? Can you make this ride?
Rocket you need to come and lead KTM’s G4 loop from the saturday ride. Dont worry about the heat, we will jump in BoB’s waterhole minus the killer leaches.
Thanks for taking the time to post this up Nick.
So you just give the adjuster a hit with the WD40 after it gets a wash?

Sensational Saturday continued.
• We headed on to the junction area, covering some well worn trails with ruts, braking and acceleration bumps. These are mostly 3rd gear flowing singles.
• A bite to eat was had and an opportunity to cool down. Krusty had some knowledge of the singles ahead so he led while I ran sweep.
• The trails led us out onto the main FT so I took the lead for some FT action while I looked for the next ST.
• Marty Monster took over at the front with Gocman close behind, Krusty in pursuit then me followed by Wolfie who was happy sweeping. The pace was on as the lads had ridden this section a few times. I managed to catch up to Krusty who was riding well. Dust was a hindrance so you had to stay back or right up close to the rider in front. A passing opportunity came up so I ducked left when Krusty took the long way around the corner.
• I could only catch MM and Goccy’s dust before they pulled up to regroup.
•
• I led us along the overgrown ST that Wolfie & I did on Friday which took us down to a new to me ST loop Wolfie & I did on Friday as well. This was a little tricky as it had major ruts and steps so Wolfie took a breather while we did the loop and returned via the ST.
• I had a bit of a play on the rock formations then parked the 300 on a rotted log. Once we got going, I eased the bike off the log with a few revs. Job done I turned around to see the log with a S12 sized gap in it. Little did I realise that the 300 was giving Wolfie’s bike a good mulching with the remains of the log. Marty450 was keen to start a mulch fight and threw a bunch of it at me. Wolfie had a laugh and was cool with it all.
•
• Eagles Nest was our next destination, until a saw a side track that I missed the day before. Having a quick look deemed it suitable for the lads with Goccy out front. A T section stopped us until a majority vote saw me lead us left on the ST which wound down into a valley, over a rock slide and down a little hill climb. We ended up on the swamp track which was dry and the first time I had seen it dry.
•
• Krusty and Wolfie were happy to get back to camp so our options were to go back up the way we came or pick up a FT and hit Wolgan Rd to the camp.
• The FT was decided upon however a locked gate stopped our progress. We then turned back and did another loop back to the top of Eagles nest with Krusty saying he was sure the ST looked familiar.
•
• Now going down Eagles Nest is easier than going up it as it has a major rut you have to ride in. This led us to the Fern Valley which brought out the camera.
• One last obstacle to encounter was the rough hill that Wolfie & I rode down the day before. All had no problems with it. Wolfie watched the lads ride it, then watched Krusty ride through a tree that was blocking the track. He knew what to do from there.
•
• Back onto BFH FT we headed for camp only stopping at That Hill to show MM & Goccy my new found hill to conquer. They said I could have it to myself!
• Back at camp the BBQ was called into action to feed the mob. Thanks to everyone who came and had fun.
Ollie, how did you get out and get help?
I was nervous watching as well. The Gasser would have eaten that log for brekky!
I bought 2 new Braking brand rotors for my KTM 300 12 months ago and had no troubles with them. Great feel at the lever and quality items.
I cant make it mate.
Watch out for sugar gliders!!!!!!!

Krusty, top report and videos. Number 7 needs looking into as you may have breached some top secret stuff as it wont play.
On the arvo loop you did really well considering the tough loop in the morning and the terrain we tackled that arvo. We have all been at a low point on the ride/loop where you are exhausted or your bike is busted up and you need to keep going. You had a target of getting to the FT and man did you pick up when we got there.
On another day you could have ridden that mad hill, but I wanted you to keep your energy for the rest of the loop.
Grab some of those Endura energy gels I gave you on the arvo loop from Suttos. Keep some in your gearbag for those types of rides when you are knackered.Galey
Sensational Saturday
• Day 2 arrived with blue skies. The BBQ was fired up for the B&E rolls while some had their Weetbix.
• KTM_Rules was keen and arrived early. News came in of a smash on the Hwy so Gocman and Marty450 stayed longer at the meet point to pick up any stragglers. Krusty showed up then Marty and Goccy. With no word from Mickktm300 and hoping he was not involved in the accident; Marty drove to get service and called him to no answer. The lads knew he had a Christmas party the night before so he may have been under the weather or in a gutter.• KTM_Rules group of Mick25, Thrillseeker and White Rocket geared up and headed off on their grade 4, 85km loop. We did not see them again until 7pm.
• The KTM Frenzy grade 3 lads kitted up and headed to Wolfe’s rock shelf. Krusty, Gocman, Wolfie, Marty450 who started as sweep and I all had no trouble. It was a good start to the ride. We headed along Marys Track and stopped at the Wolgan Valley lookout for some pics.
• We covered the rest of Marys ST and joined the main ST that runs parallel to BFH FT.
• The group was moving well with no major obstacles causing havoc.• We did come across a baby sugar glider that had fallen from its tree onto the trail. I thought it was a bearded dragon as it reared up at me when I stopped. It climbed onto the 300 so I picked it up behind the head. The lads arrived on the scene with the horde of bikes causing alarm to the little thing. Nek minute it was biting through my glove into my clutch finger. Luckily it didn’t have big teeth. With the beast hanging off my finger I yelled at Goccy to do something before I lost the digit. He did his best Steve Irwin attempt but fear took hold of him. Marty Monster was called into action by a clearly distressed Goccy to assist in the ravenous beast’s removal. All manner of ways were tried, Gatorade on its head, gently pulling it even a small stick for it to chew on. The only remedy was to remove the glove and put the fearsome creature on terra firma. Once on the deck it opened it steely jaws, dropping the glove and then it made a fast paced hopping dash to the tree whence it belonged.
To be continued…
