LC4skin wrote:Just got back from riding at Sunny Corner with Galey, running in some of his grade 5 loop, I started with a half worn Bridgestone 404 on the back and it is now destroyed, bits of knobs missing everywhere. I was getting plenty of traction, I guess thats why the knobs tore off. We only rode about 45kms.
Damn LC . That is an intermediate terrain tyre isnt it? Lucky it wasnt a soft terrain tyre. Then again if you dont spin the wheel up you wont tear the knobs apparently!
Yes the loggers put a dent in my loop. Too short, had to go work. Good company though and a great day with great riders.
Edit. always happy to rider with riders faster than me and learn some more i.e BOB, LC, Mal5.1, Medog ……
Nice work mate.
Yes the loggers have messed with our playground and we have lost about 10kms of sweet pine singles with a few cool hill climbs. Oh well thats progress. The good times will continue. I guess someone will have to FIND some more.
LC can ride bloody well. I let him run first on the A4DE pine singles and he was on the pace from the get go. First ride through and he nailed every corner. LC has also stated that the ski run will be a doodle for him and EV.
Gocman finally has The Maddening as his bitch
Thanks to Mal5.1, LC, Shitty who has a sore hand and shoulder from a tumble on boot hill, Gocman and Medog for putting up with me.
Mal’s video should be a cracker!
Galeyktm300 ride rating 5/10
Peace!

Why did I just tell everyone that?
Bol :woohoo:Being such a well run trail ride group with 100 riders camping, and with our sponsors and other dignatries attending WHY DON’T WE HIRE A PORTALOO!
Then the nice sponsors wont have a Bollocks moment in the bush!

Awesome find Scotty. Was it much more than than the Dr650? Better handling, suspension and motor than the DR! EFI nice! Hope you loved the first ride. Great day for it.
Galey
Yep, thats a bummer. Seeing your ride buddy die might have had an influence as well as a growing family.
All the best to him for his future.
Well spotted Wolfie. SC loam will do that. :S No dramas with it other than guys on rides saying “Whoa look at the dent”.
Should have the new rear in for LC’s coaching clinic on Monday. One more ride on the 952 at Clarence should see it out. :silly:
Easy mistake to make King. Being a loyal subject of yours and you being King for a few more weeks, I should have let it slide. :pinch:

M12 front tyreRocket those 952’s just dont wear out! The rear is breaking side knobs but not the middle. Damn SC loam!

King , it looks like an M12 from the pic and it says it on the tyre. Check it out on the ride!

GaleyKTM300 wrote:Running a set of Michy’s from Suttos M12 front and rear. $185 from Tisco the man at Suttos. If you are hard on the rear tyre the Sunny Corner loam will tear up the soft rears. Dont go a hard tyre either as the slippery red clay will have you on your arse or down the bottom of a tricky hill looking at your mates up the top.
See Mals thread on the Kendas that he is loving atm.
Just dont run a half worn, or worse, rear. :silly:
Heavy Duty or Ultra Heavy Duty tubes are the go if you dont like changing your pinched tubes on the trail. Most of the local folk run mousse tubes which tells you something.
Gotta love rolling into the forest on new tyres . :woohoo:

New tyres for the chainsaw.
Should be no more front end slides with a fresh M12. Check out the old 952 missing 4 side knobs in a row! :silly: plus the rest were flopping around! -
