    Bob / LC

What are the directions to the start point of the ride?

Do I go into Neville and ask the old guy sitting in the rocking chair on his front verandah ,with a piece of straw hanging from his mouth, where young Bobby lives ?

A quick summary of the arvo loop from the servo on Sunday on the Sunny Corner Sunday Ride

    In order from the servo.

Nice singles that haven’t been ridden on since Adam was on a Peewee

    Up a short 4×4 hill,

down a loose shaley 4×4 hill to join up with the flat tyre track,

    Up the 2 steps ,

turn left and head up the pro track from the 2 day enduro

    down the 2 steps.

have a break while the pros have a shot at the 3 steps

over to the dozer track for the pros to give it a run.

Up the tunnel of love towards the ski run.

Break while the pros have a crack or bypass the ski run to the left.

    New hill called Team Galey.

Fire trail to Heart Attack hill. Break then off to Galey’s Hill

Galey’s Hill or Red Clay Hill .

Lots of fire trail to recover on

down rutted 4×4 hill up to the 5 stage rutted out 4×4 hill from the OBT B’day ride we came down.

Lots of fire trail and singles

Up off the fire trail to a little rocky rutted hill from the 2011 rally

Cross over SC rd to more sweet singles down a cheeky hill and blast up the other side.

Down a very rutted and gnarly hill , stay right.

head into the A4DE singles which are truly awesome

Cheeky hill section to cut some firetrail.

Break while the pros charge up 2 stage Boulder hill and loop to return.

Short fire trail to singles with new sections around down trees.

Over to Slate Hill that we rode on the OBT b’day ride. Break if needed as the pros will loop around to join up with the group.

next hill is a ….you guessed it rocky shitty hill ,must start right then wherever the bike takes you

Back to a few hills in the Pines then hand over to Mal 5.1 Can Ride for the run home.

80kms tops if you ride all of it

I am excited just typing this.

Yes I was over all the lantana crap. The black eye and being dusty didnt help much. I was hanging out for the 4km hill that we didnt do !
Ev you were suspicious in your non reply to my inquiry.

It was funny watching Bob launch himself into the shrubs when going over fallen logs.

Nice work KTM. It will be nice riding with you and good to have someone to show the riders the line up the worst hills. 3 steps / dozer track!

Lefty are you riding this one or will you be MIA? :(

there may be a 20 min ride home on road after sat depending where we end up (yeh i know thats gay , but stiff)

Bob, I might be a bit dumb but, can we ride the track in reverse when we get to the tar or will it be too far for fuel range. Fire trails would be sweet if you can manage that .

we’ll see who wants to go home the quick way and who wants the long way at the time

Now your thinking mate. How are the trails after the rain? No rivers running down them? Any dust? :pinch:

Just got back from a pre run of the Ben Bullen tracks. sb250y came along and showed me some of the new tracks that have been put in since I was last there. He will be leading some of the ride as well.

We did 63km and I run out of fuel at 61km. :(

You will need to be fit for this loop. The full loop will be just over 70km and there is nowhere to get or dump fuel. I will have to carry 3L with me.

Of the 62km I think we only rode about 5km of firetrail. There is heaps of tight techincal single and riding up and down rock faces/steps (steeper than 450). :woohoo: Took us 4hrs with only a few 5min stops. So that should fill in Saturday with a few more riders. :)

Galey is doing some pre running this week to link up all the crappy hard hills at Sunny Corner.

Saturday will be my pick for the better trails. Great area and nice techo trails. Sunday will be hard rock infested hills and steep slippery pine plantation hills with singles and firetrails in between.

    You ready Murph? :P

Nice work Mal 5.1 Can Ride.

    Saturday sounds cool.

You summed up Sunny Corner Sunday well.

I went out today and did a loop from the servo to the Portland boundary. Speedo was stuffing up a bit , it read 300 at one stage but it will be about 70kms that can be shortened if need be.

WARNING :THIS LOOP HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR THE MURPH’S SO IT WILL BE HARD AND FAST. 👿
There will be easy sections to cut out SOME OF the hills for those that need a rest.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD REAR TYRE SO MAL5.1 / or LC CAN RIDE YOUR BIKE UP THE HILLS EASY ENOUGH IF YOU CANT. 👿

It would have to be a grade 4 at least?????????? Mal5.1???? ;)
