can I get some more details as to location of meeting point please, thank you.
looking forward to the ride.
Pauloco7.
I hope you have fitted that new rear tyre that you won at the Bday ride Pauloco! That last one was shagged even by my standards.
Sounds like my kind of ride Murph. Hope to catch one …one day
Cheers GaleyI was riding it out Tony.
Love my Katie 300. CAUTION: they do have a ejector seat activated at approx 7500rpm in 3rd gear but only when you lean it right over! Enjoy. 👿
Lads , Quick update ….Mick Connor is now at home recovering:)

It was the sun reflecting off your head that caught my eye in the mag. Hopefully you get good news from the specy doc on the shoulder. Funny that the 3 loop leaders were either injured or crashed or picked up a injury as a result of a crash on a loop! Go hard or go home is the Bathurst/Portland way. Thankfully the Sunny Corner loam provided me with a soft landing either that or my Bundy gut broke my fall!
Let me know if you need me to take the Berg out to clear the cobwebs and Mal “can ride” likewise the Gasser.Speedy recovery lads.

Firstly thanks so much to Galey for helping after the accident and coming to see me at hospital after. What a great guy.Â
Secondly thanks to all the guys who helped get me to an ambulance and everyone else who stayed around and waited with me and kept my spirits up.
Galey was right, my femur was completely snapped and the patella shattered. Now I have a titanium rod; some screws and wire keeping them in place. No idea yet on recovery time, as it depends on how quickly the patella heals.
Looking forward to getting on the bike again as soon as possible.
Thanks for the well wishes, MickHi Buddy,
Hopefully you are in Nepean hospital now and out of the sticks. Let me know if you need a hand with the van. This OBT site should keep you entertained for hours. Rest upGaley

Lads,
I paid a visit to Mick today in Orange hospital . He is doing pretty well. His leg is the size of a tree trunk from surgery and the accident. A rod has been put in his femur and his knee cap or patella as Mick called it,has been wired together and possibly glued also. He has a knee brace on and has crutches to move around on , which is not often. His GF Ally and mother are with him in Orange and this would be beneficial for his sanity and comfort. He has told me that he has had one shower in 4 days and one sponge bath, by whom it was not mentioned! There are male nurses around these days my friends!
He was pretty up-beat and positive and looking forwards to the future but was also apologizing for stuffing the ride of which I corrected him that we didn’t care about that. I was able to capture his image on camera and hopefully is attached to this post.
I purchased a One T-shirt from GW motorcycles at a good deal as a get well present from the OBT crew. One being we are one big dirt biking family. Flowers wouldn’t have cut it.Got him a Cycle Torque mag as well with has a review of the KTM 300 2011. He should find that interesting as his is the same. He will most likely be transferred to Nepean Hospital Thurs or Friday this week which is his home town. Bike and gear still at Mals place in Portland but he is in no rush to pick it up. Thanks Mal “can ride” and Donna for sorting Mick’s gear and piching up the van and bike. Even had a flat batt on the van!Mick,
Get Well soon buddy and don’t rush the rehab.Maybe do some more fishing with Jack. Maybe you could tag along on future camps that we do? We need a camp boy! Young Sam has been sacked as no amount of caxing would gret him to roll up my swag:angry: We could tell you all about the ride and how good we are! Watos on 25 June? Maybe too early for you. Just a thought.Cheers for now Galey :silly:
Lads,
I am off to visit Mick in Orange Hospital today. I will pass on all your good wishes. I will update on my return.
Also spoke to a lovely lady at Adventure moto today who took my order for a bright orange Spot Tracker ($219 0n special) and ICE usb card ($10). Perfect colour to match the Kato!
# 1 and 2 on the best sellers list! Maybe after the weekend there has been a rush on:) I told her that TB and the OBT crew gave me the heads up and i think she muttered something that I couldnt pick up:woohoo: This seriously must be the one stop shop for any Adv and Trail rider looking for their adv gear. Well done to the OBT crew for getting them on board as a sponsor and the preso on Sat night showed their commitment to our members.
Awesome pics and vids and love the bench racing even if it is via a keyboard.
Peace out
Galey
And no I dont get stuck in mud. I have learnt that much at least from Mal 5.1 can ride.
clarkyktm wrote:Hey fellas,Thank you for a top weekend. Great trails, few incidents (glad mick is ok) and a great chance to meet some top blokes too. Most of our group were ob virgins and we were welcome with open arms. Thanks again,
In my rush off from Capertee i seemed to have left my blue overnight bag behind. I don’t suppose anyone picked it up? It had Clark written on the side with my mobile number on it.
Anyway, if you know of its whereabouts could you let me know?
Clarkyktm (white ktm)
Clarky mate I am sure someone in Capertee now has a shiny new European carryall that you left behind as a thankyou for our little bit of Heaven we call the Sunny Corner State Forest:P
Lads, I have a quick update on Mick who broke his femur.
He was taken to Orange hospital and had a rod put into his broken femur which had a “nice” clean break. He also smashed up his knee cap which was also operated on. His parents and GF are with him.
Big props go to the ride group who attended to him on site, kept him comfy and spirits up whilst help was on the way. Mick’s family pass on their thanks.Mick also signed up for health insurance on Friday;)
Other than Mick’s drama a great weekend was had.
Cheers Galey…grade 3/4 ride leader
P.S. Adv Moto will be getting a order from me this week for a spot tracker for my camelback. http://www.adventuremoto.com.au/

Do I need to plan a loop before hand or will I be able to link up one of our normal loops? More drops of rain! I suppose it will be warmer at night than with the frost! Cheers:side:

We have had a good drop of rain in Bathurst overnight and today. Mudgee has copped a bit as well, so hopefully we will get another session Thursday or Friday to lessen the dust.
Cheers Galey:)
