I bought a shorai also and have no problems about 14 month old, I also bought a charger for it as they said you need a specific charger or a old coil charger and have never had to charge it.
My bike was left unstarted for 6 months as I had a shoulder op last July and started first time which impressed me.
I mentioned to a Freind the other day about it as his battery had died so he went down to the place I got mine and they informed him they don’t sell them anymore as they have had too many problems.
Been lucky so far fingers crossed It hangs in there

    Hi guys
I know this is a old thread but was wondering how is the cafe racer tensioner going? Have bought a new genuine tensioner but after reading a few article this is probably not the best way to go. Let me know your thoughts.

Just a thought but a bit of air pressure should keep the shit out. I did my time in hydraulics and we used to make rams with a 10000psi fluid pressure with chromed shafts and single lip seals no different than a fork seal. So in conclusion the seal should have no problem with a little air pressure which would be no more than 20-30 psi (guess not measured). I would look more at shaft damage incorrect seal placement shit forced under the seal.

I had one of the original GoPro’s but never really used it as I couldn’t be arsed with the video editing. However, since I’ve got a shiny new iMac and I’ll be working from home as of Jan I am revisiting the idea.

My main concern was ripping the thing off. I reckon the top helmet mount seems to be the goods in terms of framing the scene properly but it is also the easiest to rip off. I know the stciky mounts are strong, I still have one on my helmet because it won’t come off, it’s the plastc attachment to the camera I think would let go.

Anyone lost one of had one rip off? The countour’s are a little more of a slimline design but it’s hard to look past the GoPro.

Mate of mine lost a contour 2 weeks ago we where riding Red Hill. It was on the side of his helmet. We wren’t on the singles for more than 200M when he realise it was missing we could not find it anywhere, snapped the middle bracket the base plate was still stuck to the helmet.
My son uses the go pro on the helmet its copt a lot of knocks and is still in place but he dosent do the tight singles. The go pro gets a bit foggy at times but solved it with a dive kit. We have the 3D housing thats pretty cool as well.
Tip: If you go with a friend with the same don’t forget to swap them so you get footage of yourself.

Just in @ rock motorcycles are the latest lithium ion batteries from anti gravity.
These things will save something like 2kg from your standard battery and fit right in place. Most enduro bikes have them in positions where losing that weight is worth it.
The model that suits most enduro bikes retails for $159.95 less ob discount you get them for $144.00 and we can freight them to your door (ask when you order as we may be able to cover it if you order a few bits and pieces)

    Hi Rock

Do they have the same punch as a normal battery? as CC/Amps and amp/hours

I was keen on the 390 until I realised it was 124 kg’s. My bike is 108 and there is no way I am going heavier. I am speaking to Rory @ Rock Motorcycles about a possible upgrade.

    I thought the FE390 was only 114Kg
