I Had to keep all of the geometry in place so the suspension works properly, had to keep sprockets aligned while allowing for chain clearance. Also had to keep room for the battery and try to leave as much room as possible for a fuel tank. Trying to do all that and build in a lot of strength left me scratching my head for two weeks. I think the final product will fit the bill ok, I will only loose about five litres in the fuel tank, and the suspension works nice and smoothly, and everything lines up just as it did on the TM250. There is heaps of work to do, but progress should speed up now that the engineering is finished.

full rego is $423.40 for my 300
rec rego is about $100 or so.
I spend that on beer and scotch in a week anyway
I don’t give a rats arse if you guys get it but at least have the decency to recognise a superior system stemming from the superior state that is Mexico.
peace, love and mungbeans
That’s interesting on the cost of full rego down in Mexico. I keep hearing rego is more expensive in NSW than any other state but I just paid the rego on my 450 which cost me $307 all up.
It was a great turnout Eags considering this was put together in a very short period of time and far surpassed our expectation in raising funds. There has now been talk of it becoming an annual event to raise support for charity.
Arrrg, Im working. Im keen for a Sunny Corner run. Maybe next time.
Milner is in an epic battle with MEO. And how about the girls currently leading the Womans Trophy Team by almost 20 minutes. With Jessica Gardner only seconds of being outright leader.
Hey Mal, seems those Sherco 300’s make a good girls bike,
The most exciting news out of this is the 300cc two stroke class!!!
Looks like the new camera won’t be a Hero 4 but an update 3 called the Hero 3+.

The plastic box is a good thing at times. I recently after putting my bike on the trailer took my helmet off putting it down on the edge of the trailer. Unbeknown to me the Gopro was leaning against my hot header pipe. Did not even leave a mark. If that had been the camera itself I reacon it would not have come off unscathed.
I agree with TB that current computer/TV cannot handling the current camera at highest resolutions let alone even faster frame rates, then having to transfer and process massive files but if they can make electronic image stabilisation work I’ll give it ago.
At present I have a Hero 3 Black and Silver and I like the Silver better for 1080/30fps, go figure.
Nice one Tugboat, I sure there would have been a few OBTer’s up there but has been very quite on Reports. I had planned on going but work commitment changed my plans. Instead a few of us went up on Wednesday and followed the coarse. Worked out a blessing in disguise as they had 40mm of rain at Sunny Corner on the Monday which improved conditions greatly.
Some video from our Wednesday ride.
I’ve been keeping an eye on this one STM since the A9 chip was released back in January. Gopro are keeping very quiet though as there is no official news anywhere. The fact they have discounted the Hero 3 black and silver seems to point to something on the horizon.
There seems to be a few doubters out there though saying in the past it has taken Gopro 2 years to develop a new camera after the release of the previous A2, A5 and A7 chips used in the Hero, Hero2 and Hero3 respectively.
My money is still on a pre Christmas release. After the ongoing issues I’ve had with my black, which was one of the first batch I will be waiting to be sure all the bugs are ironed out of the Hero 4 before I jump at one
The biggest feature for me if it eventuates is IS. The 4k stuff is wasted on me as it will be a some time before I have a computer and TV that can handle 4K, by that time the Hero 5 or even 6 will probably be out.
Downloaded yesterday but not had a chance to play yet.
While your on the Gopro website look at the current prices of the Hero 3, big discounts. Hero 4 will be here before Christmas I recon.
Just shared on facebook group. I have a work mate who is currently looking for a KTM.HUSABERG 300. Sent to him to consider. If I didn’t “waist” all my spare cash on another property this bike would be coming home with me.
Thanks guys, poo day at work but the bourbons are now flowing and I’m about to head out to a nice dinner with my beautiful better half. It’s also her birthday.
Cheers!
I’m no Dakar rider but do enjoy a bit of sand when it can be found.
