Teza, let us know when you get the new ride and the leg is strong and we will organise a ride.

Lights work but have you seen the size of the spiders that sling webs across the track up there at night, bags not leading.

    Theme song for Ollies Gasser.

Nah we will have to agree to disagree. I just think the Japs with all their knowledge are selling them selves short.

This is a horny bike but I don’t even know where the nearest Beta dealer is. :(

I went to the local Gas Gas dealer recently to find the owner is someone ive had dealing with in the past and would NOT buy a bike from again.

Unfortunately it appears for the Japs its all about the bottoms line. They only spend to develop a small model range to maximise profits for those models. If they were to produce 2T off road models no doubt they would just be pulling market share from their 4T range.

Have a look at the Jap range of off roaders compared to the Euros. No contest the Euros make everything from 125cc 2T up to 500+cc 4T whilst the Japs hang their hat on 450cc 4T and a couple 250’s. Yes it may corporate sense and be more profitable but f#*k they have become boring.

Love or hate the Euros and 2T at least they show passion and excitement.

PS it not taking bait Rocket its called adults having an intelligent debate, try it sometime. :P

If you were into trials bikes you would have heard of Beta PTW. The more 2 banger the better now if only the Japs would pull their heads out of the sand.

I would have been keen but on the 4th I will be riding my treadly from Sydney to Wollongong with 10000 other lunatics.

Yeah TB I was surprised when I found the vid, GB’s a legend of the sport. By the way I can lay claim to kicking his arse on two wheels on at least one occasion, it may have been a mountain bike but I’ll take the victory.

The dirty dogs have gone down. I’d like to be working in Bankstown tonight. Batten down the hatches.

The sad thing is somebody has put a lot of time and effort into the contraption and no doubt this it’s the ducks guts.

Oh and I’m sure somewhere in all this there has to be the chance to take the piss out of KTM riders.

I had a play with mounting the camera this morning, I hate it on top of the helmet. I did a bit of a mock up and I like it out the front of the helmet. It sis quite solid the way it is mounted but I will try and play around making a neater mount setup.

Teza the sleeve came up as I was sliding along the ground. I had only taken the sleeves off my jacket that morning :pinch: . I think its time I got a pressure suit for summer riding.

As for the boots I was only telling the misses I am due for a new pair last week I think she is now convinced.

On a positive note my new knee braces worked a treat. The patella cup saved my knee as my new fox pants were worn through the double layer knee area and now have a nice hole for ventilation.

I’m pretty sure it was 135 but I would have to check. I had an issue with the camera and needed to hit the reset button which reset everything to the default settings which I’m sure is 135.

I had an interesting thing happen to my camera today. I mounted it to the top of my helmet with a Gopro helmet mount modified as per Moto’s post. I then went and crash tested it by throwing myself and the RMX down the road (No need to thank me it’s the lengths I’m prepared to go to test the camera). My helmet hit the ground and although the camera didn’t take a direct hit it has a small scrape and was covered in dirt. I wasn’t turned on at the time (would have been good footage) and I didn’t have the cover fitted.

Later on when I went to use the camera it turned on fine and I attempted to connect it to Wifi when the camera froze up. It was turned on but wouldn’t do anything, I couldn’t even turn it off. No matter what button I pressed nothing worked. I then remembered there is a small reset button in next to the memory card slot. I managed to find a small stick and push the reset. This turned the camera off. It then started back up as per normal and worked fine for the rest of the day. Not sure if everyone knows about the reset but if you have a similar issue give it a go.

On the mounting issue I will be looking for another way to mount the camera, on top of the helmet is a pain. I spent the day ducking and weaving but still managed to get it hooked on a few trees.
