You have my attention again with the pods TB. I know they aren’t as good as the Ultras but something has to be better than nothing…right

I might go and try some on to check the comfort level after reading the feedback in this thread though.

    ;)

Ace, Ive got the Pod K700’s. When I bought them from Suttos I went in to buy the Cells but they just didn’t fit me right. Even the Pods I found I had to go one size up to their measurements as my knee wouldn’t fit between the hinges, it appears I have wide knees. I guess our knees are a bit like heads in helmets, we all have different shapes.

As for comfort I strap them down tight like TB suggest and they don’t move. I also make sure my top boot buckles are tight which also helps hold them in place. Once on I don’t notice that I have them at all.

I rode without them yesterday because I forgot to throw em in the car :pinch: . I felt very vulnerable and it was on my mind all day. My knees ended up getting sore on the insides from gripping the bike without the brace. Seems since having braces I have sub-consciously learnt to grip the bike tighter between my knees and now without the brace it begins to hurt.

I have crash tested them and they payed for themselves in one crash.

I have two dodgy knees from a couple simple incident where I didn’t even crash. Whatever you have to do, beg, borrow or steal I say get some braces of some sort before you regret it.

I had my WR450 blue slipped about a month ago. I turned up with Metzeler MC5 front and rear. They are not DOT approved but don’t have any markings saying “not for highway use” or “off road use only” or the like. The inspector wasn’t sure and contacted the RMS who told him if the tyres don’t have such markings then all they need to have is a minimum 6mm tread depth. Happy days.

I’m not sure I agree will this intervention. I have seen first hand the grief the “victim” gets from this Italian super model. As pretty as she is, clearly she is a right super bitch. Maybe the “victim” would be happier with a love from orient descent as I believe was his previous love.

BTW Mr Moto X is back on a blue bike. Last time I saw he was on Yellow.

That’s a nice offer Murph but weekend rides are all but out for me. On the 27th I won’t get home till about 4am in the morning. I do enjoy the Murphberg ride reports and would like to take up the challenge one day (It will probably destroy me) but for weekends I need to plan well in advance.

Top looking couple of days guys. I m hanging to get a run up at Sunny Corner but dates didn’t line up for me. Haven’t been up there since last years birthday ride. Maybe next time or ill just have to organise a week day ride up there and wing it.

in reply to: small camera? #246713

Tough choose bollocks. There are some good little “tough” cameras out there at the moment. My Nikon has been faultless for me and by reports the Panasonic also as good.

That being said something new has caught my attention. Olympus TG-2.

    http://www.olympus.com.au/Products/Stylus-Compact-Cameras/Tough/TG-2.aspx

With an aperture of F2 and shutter speed 1/2000 this will kill the others for sports shots and low light. Also much wider angle at 25mm (35mm equivalent) will be better for those arty landscape shots. Olympus all but invented this class of camera and have just upped the standard. I think the Nikon is about to hit eBay.

Still shits me none of them have full manual control. The first to do that will have my money.

Hold the phone. I just found something. Outright results on my laps. Shows Grabham in front of Braico so should be on the money.

Seems to be conflicting info out there on who finished where in what class. Some details on MA site for top three in each class has Ballard first in Masters and Grabham second in E3. Not sure if this is right but here’s the link.

Good too know. I went to another pub in the area recently at Cullen Bullen. Won’t be back there in a hurry. When asked if they had food was told they could rustle up a ham sandwich but only had enough ham for one sandwich, there was three of us.

Nick I looked at a couple of Crf450s before I bought the WR, mainly cause I think the CRF are a horny looking bike but I couldn’t find a good one in the price range I was looking for. I still have one bloke from down he coast messaging me with weird shit after I didn’t buy his bike. Lesson learnt, never give out mobile number. :pinch:

Nice, I recon the 250 club is in peril. Can’t help notice most who bought 250 4t’s were looking for upgrades for more power, ie, cams, big bore kits and the like. That being said the 250s are fast in the tight stuff. Great if ya race I guess. The way I see it fast bikes for racing, powerful bikes for fun. :woohoo:

That is a trick looking helmet. Makes me what a custom paint job now. I am about due for a new lid so may have to look into it.

As for a display helmet in the living room. No way in hell I would get that past my other half :(
