I thought it was just a stall but as it turned out his battery had shat itself and he was without power. That is not a big deal on a bike with a kicker but on a DRZ it was a disaster.
We tried to clutch start in the bottom of a steep ravine whilst the leeches and mozzies took the piss but it was hopeless. It was too slick to clutch her so we sat down to contemplate our next move. We decided that Al could take my battery as it is only a decorative piece anyway on a

For future reference guys I don’t know you have seen this done before but with a bit of mucking around this will work with starting most bikes.

Yeah the WRs were, only limited percentage to the front I think around 25 to 35% from memory
KTM are working on two new 2WD systems, one hydraulic and the other a hybrid with electric motors in each wheel.
I’ve always wondered why the likes of KTM and Yamaha don’t run 2WD at Dakar. Surely the extra drive would be awesome getting heavy safari bikes over the dunes.
Aaron, if you have not been fined in ten years, have all your points and a gold licence if you get a fine write a letter to the State Debt Recovery Department and you should get off with an official warning.
Menace we already have NPR (number plate recognition) cars in NSW. The one we have at our station is been affectionally named “The cash cow”. They are predominately used to detect unregistered and stolen cars. For this purpose it is awesome, does anybody want to be on the road with unregistered/unisured cars. As for stolen cars, well no need to say more. It will also show up if the owner of the car is suspended/disqualified and the like, again who wants these people on the road. This is all stuff that can be done in any police car the NPR car just does it faster and more efficiently. As for you owing fines that is the State Dept Recovery Departments problem.
The car is also capable of doing lots of high tech stuff but won’t bother most people. If you car is registered, not stolen, you have a current licence and your not wanted by police you got nothing to worry about.
On the subject of these camera cars they are just another form off tax and big business take us for all we’re worth. They have been use and banned in a number of countries and the sooner that happens here the better.

As for me, I am happy with the status quo at the moment.
The problem with signing a petition at this stage is from what I can see nobody has put forward any information about what the rec rego will be or how much it will cost, they have just stated a system similar to Victoria (and QLD, as far as I’m aware they don’t have rec rego). How about one of these groups who are putting forward a proposal actually put together a draft plan of what they want to put into place and some costs, surely the insurance companies will have a ball park figure for what they will be planning on charging for the insurance.
It’s a bit like the blind leading the blind at the moment as the insurance companies are expecting us to sign a petition for a scheme they have given almost no information about, call me cynical but I trust insurance companies about as far as I could kick the c#nts. If they are serious they would put forward a proper proposal. Give me some detail and I will then make an informed decision to sign or not.
If there is more information out there that I am unable to find can someone put up a link.

Fines for using M7 without paying has nothing to do with cops. M7 is a privately owned road as such the dispute is between you and the operator of the road.
As for the photo it does look like the same rego number, there is likely some bikie running around with a dodgy plate and unfortunately he is using your ergo number.

I’ve said it before. I have road bikes for the road, dirt bikes for the bush. I’m all for rec-rego.
Hahahaha, as if the NSW government will ever let $66 rego happen. Have a look at how much more we pay for our other rego’s.
On another note, and maybe our resident Mexicans can give more info an this but I hear there is a push in Vic to have their rec rego scheme limited to compliance plated bikes only, no MX or pitbikes. For MX bikes that already have rec rego the rego will not be tranferrable to the new owner if sold. Anyone South of the border who can confirm this.
hay scoty i just regoed my bike it was 108 dollars the rest went to the insurence company the rego was cheap the government missed out and the inserance company got my cash but medicare will have to cover any of my medical expences and what did they get its just a stupid system
I agree rocket the system is not perfect but I don’t agree in the use of non ADR bikes in the bush. A rec rego system for ADR bikes or a solo rider ergo like in QLD would be good. And for the record rocket it will be the insurance you will need to pay under a rec rego scheme so you will still be feeding the greedy insurance companies.
On the subject of Qld, do they have a rec rego scheme because according to Insure My Rides petition they do.

For AMA and world SX/MX results this one is good.

No doubt KTM riders are used to this riding position.
For those that do use expensive chains and bolt down systems or other ways to secure your bike make sure you don’t leave anything lying around your shed that can be used to cut them. I did a job a few months back were a CRF450R had been chained down and bolted to the floor using a Kryptonite system. Problem was the owner left the Oxy acetylene setup next to the bike. Seems the C#NT who took the bike knows how to fire up an oxy cutter.

And here it is. A small, light, efficient environmentally friendly direct injected two stroke based on Sarich DI technology.
What a weapon.
