I think the key here guys is to haggle. If you find a good price online go and ask your local shop what deal they can do. They may not be able to match it but may come close enough to get your money anyway. If they blow you off grab that online deal and enjoy the saving, their loss.

As bad as this sounds I was just thinking how good it would be to catch some unregistered MX/crusty demons type of dickhead out in the forest going over 60kph. Get him unregistered, uninsured and no doubt unlicensed. Now tac on fail to comply with clause 13(5) of the Forestry Regulation 2009. Gunna be a very expensive day for dickhead and I bet last time he rides unreg in the forest.

“As a result Forests NSW has introduced a policy of 60 km/h unless otherwise signposted on all unsealed gravel roads under clause 13(5) of the Forestry Regulation 2009.”

    Forestry Regulation 2009 Clause 13
Control and management of State forests, timber reserves and flora

    (5) The commission may, by displaying a notice to that effect in a conspicuous position in or in the immediate vicinity of a forestry area or a part of a forestry area, fix the maximum speed at which any vehicle or machine, or any vehicle or machine of a class specified in the notice, may be driven in that area or that part of an area.

    (6) A person who drives a vehicle or machine in a forestry area in excess of the speed specified in a notice displayed in accordance with subclause (5) is guilty of an offence.
    Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.

Looks like it will be a breach of some forestry act rather than any Road Transport Act so unlikely to see any RTA speed cameras or highway patrol put there enforcing the 60km limit. The problem is if they do catch yo some how the maximum penalty is steep. 1 penalty unit is currently $110. So thats a possibly $2200 fine.

Scientists recently found that majority of women develop ‘Hoovers disease’ after a year of marriage. Symptoms are they make a continuous whining noise and don’t suck any more.

I’m sure when Husaberg take there advertising dollar else where and ADB struggle to get another Berg to test ADB will see the light and start feeding us bull shit again.

Forgive me if i’m wrong but isn’t this bike only about 8 months old and KTM have a 12 month warranty? If it’s making engine noises at 1050km I’d be taking it straight back to the dealer to get it sorted.

Footage not work for me TB but I do remember going to a Mr Motorcross round a Oran park with Tiny. And yes from what I remember Dack was on a Honda and Bell on the Malboro Yamaha’s. I think Dack took Leisk’s seat at Honda when he went OS.

What about Tim and Mike Shearer. I think it was Tim who dominated the big bore 4T class at Aus enduro’s and 4 day on the big 510/610 for about 10 years. Where are they now?

Nice Jeffro, I accually saw this advertised on bike sales. I have been looking at the Vstom myself as a stable mate for the DRZ, would be nice to take the misses out on some country rides. Unfortunitaly all my spare cash is tied up in an oversee’s holiday next month so it will have to wait till next year. There seems to be heaps of nice looking low kms Vstoms out there for very reasonable money.

Have a look at this site there is some good information on there. http://www.stromtrooper.com/ even an Australian/NZ forums. It amazes me some of the place people take the Vstrom’s off road. Enjoy and I hope I get to join the club soon.

People with electric start bikes suck yes you heard it right you are all a mob of *&$! until i get one and then you will just bearable! Bring on the stories of failed electric legs!!

Maybe someone should say that to Ollies brother who’s RMX got put back on the trailer at the poker run with a broken kicksarter.

I’m sure we could bring on the storys of broken and stripped kickstart mechanisms. I remember when the WR400 first come out there were heaps of 2T riders converting to 4T with no idea of what TDC was. Yamaha must have sold a million of those kickstarters.

It’s a fact of life more bikes are coming Elec only and not just trail bikes, eg Husaberg. No dought as manufacturers look to remove excess weight for there bikes it will be hard to justify having two starter mechanisms and one will have to go. At the moment the market is dictating most rider want electric start, even 2T bike now have them. Shit even Tony Cairoli factory KTM350 MXGP bike is electic start.

We all lived with only one starter mechinism in the past and anyone who has ridden long enough will know that even kickstarters are not fail proof.
