I’m not real clever but if you’re getting air one way and not the other as you’ve described I’d say, yep, the seal in the caliper is your culprit. Without one in front of me and bear with me but I’d suggest if you remove the hose, block that hole with a bolt and introduce air into the caliper might be a way to test? If the piston doesn’t come out there’s your answer. Sounds as though you’ve pretty much narrowed it down anyway though.

I hate brakes.

Edit after a bit of sleep. It sounds like you’ve tracked the fault down to the wheel cylinder. If the dust seal is crumbling I’d say there’s a good chance the piston seal is perishing as well. When changing those I tear the system down. Blow it all out with compressed air. Wash and wipe down all parts (not the rubber) with metho and blow out with air again. Re-assembly is done with all parts lubed with the fluid you will use in the system. Put a new kit through the wheel cylinder then test it. You’ve already done the master cylinder, if it doesn’t work then you have a leak in your hose or banjos? But I’d be putting new seals in the caliper first.

Weekdays definitely the best days to ride up there. Never saw a soul on weekdays, weekends though, different story. Dontchya reckon today would have been better? I’m not sure it stopped raining up here!!!

Ahh the Watagans Birthday Bash! I drank soooo much beer that night! Couldn’t go to bed, too much entertainment! There were some deadset characters allowed out that night! And the food! If I recall correclty the Vor failed on that ride. Seems some bugger who worked on the motor didn’t bend up a lock washed on the clutch plates. The nut came undone and a plate came out and sat on top of the basket preventing me from disengaging the clutch! Bugger.

Looking forward to a ride in July. Unfortunately there are no plans to get it registered again, so it’s permits only unless on private property. The old girl will only come out occassionally

Oh, and while I’m here can someone answer me this question? The shop here doesn’t work, can we not get ‘stuff’ anymore or has that all stopped? I sent an email to the contact address but I’m too impatient to wait! :woohoo:
