Hey Murph
We all need help :laugh:To handle HD file sizes you need a fast computer that has modern hardware to edit. Ulead is a good program and the newer versions will edit HD but your computer won’t allow that to happen. You have three options.
Firstly you can run your old PC and software and set the camera to VGA which is low resolution. That will shoot files similar to your old camera and work with your current computer. It does mean a big sacrifice in image quality but it will allow you to edit and for ride reports on YouTube links it is ok.
Secondly you can always film in HD in short bursts and load the unedited footage directly to YouTube. You can not view the files on your PC but you can watch it on the TV, work out the ones you want and them save them in a folder on your PC and upload from there. That will maintain the quality.
The third options the one I have just done and bought a new model iMac.Hope that helps.

Good onya Dude!

I will be doing more im sure.Your footage looks good Nato and you keep the camera nice and stable. Have you been playing around with settings since we last spoke? There is a lot to experiment with on the new HD GoPros. Best thing I have done recently was buy an iMac. It handles those big files easily and in the new iMovie it will edit everything straight out of the camera so no need to use any file conversion or compression. Every conversion you can avoid the better your footage will remain. YouTube will always use their own compression but you can upload directly out of iMovie so it preserves as close to original as possible. It will also load 1080p straight up to YouTube if you choose and if have an internet connection quick enough to actually watch it.
Now I just need a heap of new footage and I will lock myself to my iMac and stock the fridge full of home brew :woohoo:STM
My pipe is sounding soooo sweet after Jason’s work I thought I would cut a quick edit from my ride yesterday.

evYou will love it Ev!
I did a ride at Bulls and the terrain has it all. Some sweet singles and some steep hills and if you put your hand up I am sure someone will show you some very nasty climbs.STM
Good to see you back on here Bull!
You can put me on that list for sure.Cheers

Hi Mick
I pushed that story to the newsroom after speaking to Corey8. As it is the cops job to catch the low life or recover bikes the story warned locals and gave tips on bike security courtesy of Coffs KTM. They showed locking options and gave the reminder that if you garage your bike with the front wheel removed and left in the house is the biggest deterent to thieves. They may be equipped to cut locks but are screwed if they can’t roll it away.STM
There are some great shots there Scotty!
Sure looks like you and the big girl (DRZ) had some good times together.
Enjoy your new 250 :whistle:STM

Ev’s quote for the weekend
“it will be down in a few hours”
Was EV talking about the river or Galey’s boner

Great effort Ev to pull that off with all the weather we have had. If that weekend didn’t get rained out none ever will :woohoo:

Not enough
Its never about the quantity
Its quality that counts

MurphI hear you Murph
That’s why I asked the question because the Friday we rode at my place we were out for almost 5 hours and did about 40k’s.

Even with the flooding it sounds like ya’s managed to get some decent riding in.
Ev that widow maker hill gets a bit slippery on the conglomerate above the step when its wet but its still great fun.
STM with the smaller crew did ya’s ride up that 3 step hill that we rode down on the Coffs ride last October?
Hope the rain stays away for the weekend
And I hope your back is alright Ev. :pinch:
Cheers
MurphWe sure did ride up it Murph and it was a great test. LC made it all but 50cm from the top and sat at the point of no return wheel spinning like a hoon at Summer Nats. Ev made light work of it and Galey, Bob and myself put some new scars on our bikes. We all got up in the end with a bit of teamwork.
We rode one really tight single that you would love Murph but I need a small crew for that sort of stuff.
Your right Mick, LC is ripping on the Berg!
The radar looks like no rain south of Coffs today so after yesterdays humidity Macksville will definitely be ridable and I am sure the boys will have a great day.STM
