Just to clarify that it was not my mechanical skills that were lacking, the owner of the toy shop tried to put the honda together as well (didn’t really want to give me warranty – is that a honda trait too :P , no that’s right it’s just an issue with all bikes as no ones ever seen “that problem” before) and even he admitted that the build quality was below par.

Maybe they took a lead from another major brand and moved their production to India. 👿

There is already a trend happening and that is DRZ’s being sold and sub 400 bikes being bought.
    Adam to a 350excf
    Nickj to a CRF250
    Boony to a 250excf
    Who else?

Apart from feeling like you need to wring its neck constantly, ….Boony

That is the fun of 250’s Boony. You do get to ring there neck and they love it and come back for more. When riding a 250 the trick is to rev it till it sounds like it should blow up and then turn the throttle a bit more. You will love a 250 as long as get into the midset that riding starts at 10,000 rpm.

Bundy is on the money there. Coming from a bigger bore bike you need to let the 250’s sing. No use trying to torque them around. Nickj was shifting too early when he first got his and now he holds a lower gear and allows it to rev he is flying on it. As for 250’s being happy in a high rev range I think the reliability of my bike is testament to that.

    Good stuff mate. …Spud…

    Gold Spud!
Although I can hear the family banter now  . Biggeral and Corey8 probably bought him the camera as he is always behind them.
Nato has a 100% success rate on the Widow Maker so it might be nice for him to film his brothers attempts 👿

in reply to: where do you blokes buy spares? #213944

    Hey Rymm
We try and support our site sponsors first and if they can’t help then the local shop should be able to get you sorted. If neither of these efforts get you anywhere then hit the www’s and track down what you need.

YouTube heavily compress the files you upload so as to conserve space on their servers so you will never get the full resolution that the camera outputs. At 720 it looks great mate and it looks like you are working out the editing.
    Well Done!

    Hey Nato
While you are in test mode shoot some stills and post them up too when you get a chance.

    Cheers

Looks awesome mate. I will be keen to see how it handles the light changes in the forest because out in the open the quality is brilliant.

    Another year bites the dust!
This year I rode some epic trails with a good bunch of blokes, had another baby and didn’t work too hard
Thanks to everyone who made it a great year and I look forward to what 2012 has in-store.
Instead of making a New Years resolution I made December 31 a goal and it was to be at 92 kilos. I weighed in yesterday at 91.8 down from 96 :woohoo:
Now I can drink beer all night and eat rubbish!!!

    Happy New Year OBT

    Hey Norto!
Welcome to the site mate. You have a network of Old Bulls not far from you who have a wealth of trail knowledge. If you are willing to drive 8 hours in either direction the options are endless.
    Enjoy the site mate.
