And maybe try slowing your rebound a bit. It will start to pack up in stutters but should help keep the front end from jacking up.

    Hey Lefty

You mention lowering crown height and jacking up the rear end a little which should help but you could also try an offset bar mount. You are not a heavy guy so centering your mass a little further forward may help keep the front wheel more planted.

Just trying to get the right ones I believe there are 3x types: Standard tube , Heavy duty, and Ultra heavy duty. What is the approximate cost of Ultra heavy duty , $80.00 to $120.00 ???

I saw one at Motorcycle supermarket accessories and can’t remember the price but know it was about 5 times more than a standard tube. I guess the spare tube to carry should be a standard one to keep the weight down ??? Due for a tyre change on the Berg and will check to see what’s in them —- Great balls of fire !!!

$120 would be a Mouse tube. White Rocket is right; you should not have to pay more than $40.

in reply to: Peewee training wheels? #207381

The problem with pushies for kids under 4 is saddle height. In order for the cranks to clear the ground on the down stroke the bottom bracket needs to be quite high which means so is the saddle. Kids then need to start off with training wheels as they are sitting so high they can’t touch the ground with both feet. Kids don’t need to learn to pedal, they need to learn to balance. Balance bikes are the perfect solution for young kids. No pedals, no brakes, just stride along with your feet and lift them up when they feel comfortable. It is amazing how quickly they then get the feel for feet up coasting.

    Good onya TB!
It was Elise and my pleasure having you stay and little Jesse keeps rabbiting on about Greg. That is not such as bad thing as before you stayed it was always Nick this and Nick that. B)

I must have misheard the washing intructions. I washed your stinking ride gear instead of your bike.

Good effort making it all the way home for Kieran and I look forward to reading all about how you and the adventure boys did a three day lap of Northern NSW carrying tents and sleeping bags that you never used. :P
