Happy birthday Champion!
It was great to get out on the weekend for a ride in Spuds backyard.
All the best for the year ahead mate.STM
In my experience I would crack the head from new and drop the kibbles straight in and save the future grief. It is really the only weakness in what is otherwise a brilliant bike. You have been lucky to get this long out of them Snowy.
The stock valves are made from a secret composite of PlayDo and chalk
A company as experienced as Honda should know better!!STM
I ditched my stock valves and installed Kibbles before I even hit 15 hours. Since then I have not had an issue. I had no head work done and my bike starts when you breath on the button!

No riding for me at this stage.
They are predicting a good size NE swell with favourable winds for tomorrow :woohoo:
Surfing is still number 1 in my book
Tim and I are about to leave to go rock climbing today
The young fella has bought a new rope and some gear and I have been teaching him the do’s and don’ts on staying alive. I’m only belaying and teaching as my harness doesnt fit like it should.:pinch: It has been over ten years since I have climbed but I must admitt it is more of a rush than surfing and bike riding put together :woohoo: At times when the surf is big the two might be on parr. :woohoo:
There maybe a mid week ride coming up
Have to see if I link shifts with the Dude
Cheers
Murph
P.S. Have a good one where ever you end upGeez murph, you certainly know how to spread your eggs in a few baskets, my young bloke wants me to buy a mountain bike, currently looking, never tried rock climbing but that would have to keep ya fit!
have fun and catch ya on the next one. I keep missing your rides and busting to get back out on some of your sweet trails
Might even be worth an annual leave day if work is quiet
I can help you out with the MTB Squiz
I must have missed the singletrack section in that clip.
It is good to watch someone with the skills to ride a road bike in the bush though 👿STM
They say bad luck comes in three’s so you should be good to go mate.

Happy birthday wild girl.
I hope you had a good one and that you got some new doing for the bike.STM
You are a champion ECKS!!
Modern society puts huge pressure on us. There is equality in the sexes but the expectation that the man looks after his family is still ingrained in all of us. When it looks like we will fall short of this expectation then self doubt and a feeling of failure creeps in. It used to be that communities bound together and that family units were much larger. That spread the burden of responsibility so when one fell on hard times another took up the slack. Now it seems like each family unit is their own little island left to fend for themselves to sink or swim. The measure of happiness has long since been replaced with the measure of financial success. It is easy to become a victim of this and it is easy to lose perspective of what is really important. Fortunately, even in the worst case scenario, in Australia we have some safety nets with welfare but none of us want to end up there. The point is to shift the focus to what is truly important to you. The family that you feel under pressure to provide for really only needs love and support of their own. Yes it is nice to be flush with cash and buy nice things but at the end of the day that does not make people happy. Challenge and adversity foster resilience as long as you can keep the doubt at bay. Look into the eyes of the ones you love and be honest about any doubt or fears you have. Share those same fears with your friends and do not bottle them up.
The courage you have shown by posting this on an open forum ECKS is the same courage that will see you through the other side of these hard times. Keep your chin up and rely on your family and friends the same way generations of old did and you will be fine. At the end of the day we are all in this together and the OBT family is here for you.Best wishes.

Good discussion.
Organised rides are for OBT members so therefore only members can see them. Ride reports are public so non members can see what thy are missing out on.STM
All the best for the year ahead Nato!!!
About time you turned 30 :laugh:STM
