Tdriver is no stranger to the lantana whipping, seems every time we go out he comes back leaking a bit of blood.
Didn’t see any shots of Shell. Did she show?STM
Welcome aboard Swaz.
Your 250F is a great choice to give you a good start in the world of trail riding. After your road bikes it will fell like it is reving it’s tits off but fear not, they enjoy being up in the rev range. Don’t gear it too high and you make up a bit of torque you lose to the big bores.
Enjoy the site!STM
Happy New Year from the land of loamy singles!
I look forward to the ride that 2011 will be :woohoo:Best of wishes to all of you.

As reported I had a beer with the Big Fella and Salina yesterday in Coffs. I gave him a run sheet of forest roads that would take him through three state forests from Woolgoolga to Nana Glen. I just spoke to him now and he took a left too early and ended up descending the escarpment down one of its steepest faces.
He said it was fine which goes to show just how well the Tenere is handling.
He is meeting Nickj at Lawrence for the ferry run across the Clarence river then it is all dirt to Nick’s farm where I am sure they will do some serious rehydrating. He is then at the Northern end of his trip.STM
Welcome to OBT Steve.
Your story is a very common one here. I too started out with a lawnmower powered bike which got me started. I rode for a decade till I was 17 then did not twist a throttle for the next 20 years. I moved from the big smoke, bought a WR250 and found this site. That all happened in the last two years and I have since been on some great rides with some great guys and girls.
Mentioning XR in your first post is like the secret hand shake around here :laugh:Enjoy the site and don’t be shy to ask any questions you have.

It is more insurance against a chain derailling and slamming your case than it is a rock.
Hi Casual.
There is an active crew of Old Bulls based around Coffs so keep an eye out for rides. If you find yourself some time one weekend PM me we and we can get out there. I know some fun trailsSTM
Santa got me a fresh pair of Fox bomber gloves in black and a new light sensitive lens for my goggles.

How trick is the CNC work on that frame! I could see myself owning one of those to do the surf check on.
