Run a soft compound or intermediate at most and run around 13psi and you should be sweet. I ran a brand new S12 today and it handled the slop well. Hopefully it will dry out a bit during the week.

Sounds like you should be fine mate. Nick was doing the dog on lino thing today. I rarely see him on the ground but today he had his share. Nothing his new rear tyre won’t fix.
This weeks weather looks much better than last. I can guarantee no dust. :laugh:STM

Just to keep it all legit
* This is not a paid ride, there is no money changing hands it just me going for a ride and you have decided to follow. I am not responsible for you, your bike or your belongings. If you are not happy at any stage with any part of the ride, you are free to leave and not participate, remember you are joining me of you own free will. If you have a friend that’s a fancy talking lawyer stay home with him and have fun together.
* This is a trail ride, sort of an adventure tour as such, don’t see the word race there do you? No because its not a race. If you are a hero racer or a hero stay home with old mate and his lawyer buddy. (besides I am the fastest, I am the only one that knows the way )
There are many hidden obstacles, rocky sections, blind crests and curves, it may be dusty, it may be muddy so please ride within your limits, if you feel you are slow (not that you will be) you will be faster then a guy laying on ground waiting for help, don’t spoil it for yourself and everybody else.* If you ride in such a way as to endanger yourself or anyone else on the ride you will be told to leave, this includes passing people and such trail ethics, my decision is final if you dont like this or anything else here DONT COME
Old Bulls must also state that this is NOT an organised event and that no organisational function is undertaken or initiated by Old Bulls with respect to such rides. There are no set tracks/ routes and members ride at their own time and discretion. Old Bulls forum is a medium used for organizing rides by members and in attendance Old Bulls takes no responsibility or liability for injury or damage to persons or personal property that may occur

If you get a chance just check that your details are corret here. If you have family or any extras joining for dinner on Friday night let me know as I need numbers by Monday 22nd. The venue has changed for dinner on Friday. It is now at a pub that has a kid freindly bistro so if you arrive late or just want to drink your dinner you can still meet us up. I have a shuttle bus doing laps of the resort so transport is sorted. The Chinese restaurant heard a rumour that 30 big blokes were coming to the buffet and they have gone on holiday for a week :laugh:singletrackmind wrote:

If we treated our bodies as well as we treated our bikes they would last forever
Get to your doctor for a full service once a year and you will avoid most nasty surprises. It only take three viles of blood and two samples of urine and your good to go.
Just do it!

Happy Bday mate.
Looks like we get to celebrate properly next weekend :woohoo:

A quick side to side action. When I first noticed it I stoped and realised I had tightened th axle on the right side with the block away from the bolt. I moved it and it reduced it significantly. I will measure it and straighten to see if it helps. Thanks mate! But what if they are wrong can you buy new ones or take to them with the die grinder? We’ve got pins that locate in the axle & swingarm bolt, then measure with a tape measure. (I’ll post a pic later this week)
Remember the holes are different sizes on each end of the axle, (maybe the swingarm as well)take that into account when measuring.
I read it on another forum & it took me 12months to get around to checking if it was true. Proper alignment should prolong sprocket & chain life.
Chatter may be the chain slider needs regluing (sikaflex) a common WR problem. (tighten your chain with a screwdriver between the chain & rear sprocket for tension, will help keep the axle blocks hard on the bolts)
Nice one sb
I am keen to see those photos.

This one caused a bit of grief on the Coffs ride last year.

Then again so did this one

and with this looking like it’s going to be an annual thing, it might cover the time off that your going to need to improve the event next year if thats possible  you really are setting the bar high again
Good on ya

Cheers for the kind words mate.
You won’t have to look too far for the park staff. They will be under you bedroom window at 6am with the brush cutter. :laugh:I have some bits and pieces to organise this weekend and then it is up to mother nature. We will ride regardless of weather so just pack prepared.
Bring safety glasses incase the goggles fog up and hit everything with a layer of Rainex. They sell some handy wipes with the treatment on it which makes it easy to apply if needed.
It will be warm so a light weight shell will be enough over your jersey.Cheers
