If you are in two minds whether to do this my advice would be to grab the opportunity with both hands. Apart from waking up tomorrow as a factory rider this is a rare chance to get factory treatment.
Sending your suspension away to get worked on is one thing but having it done trackside whilst the tuner looks on and listens to your feedback is a completely other level again. If you want a better handling bike this is your chance.

Quote:I agree on the one main line theory, evan it was a disused logging access road that closed over but bikes keep the main line going to a couple of tire widths. Like your shots STM.And legal wise you can ride old forest roads that have closed on to be s/t’s,theres heaps of them around that 95% of 4×4’s won’t go down cause of fear of scratching their paint.
Those trail shots of mine are all part of the upcoming Coffs Coast ride
:woohoo:
STMHere are the definitions straight out of Hippopedia so you know it is right.
This is Single line. Def:An area with width to negotitae a tank through but which has developed only one line.

Def: An old fire/ logging road that is long since disused and has developed one main line. It may be posssible to still drive a vehicle down it but that would make you evil. It should be left for two wheels only.

As is this

And this my friends is Singletrack. Def: Surfers search for barrels, skiers chase powder and riders seek this. The only option is on a bike as it is completely impassable for a vehicle. Cut specifically into the bush in an area where no fire or logging road existed previously. Ridden at speed it will cause you to dissapear into the moment.

Epic!!!
I drove up to the resort today to tie up some loose ends and check on tide lines before the big weekend. While I was up there I took some shots so you have an idea what to expect. It is not your average “Van Park” and the facilities are top shelf. It is won a lot of tourism awards and it is easy to see why. The grounds are pristine and it has direct beach frontage, its own golf course and an excellent pool area.

Another thing the kids will love is the jumping pillows. Only one was inflated today but they look like a lot of fun for the grommies.

The Camp Cook House is better fitted out than my kitchen with catering fridge’s, electric cook top, microwave, two gas bbq’s and two sinks.

The powered sites have lawn you would expect to find on a bowling green

Which they also have!

And the powered sites have little communal shower/ toilet blocks so you don’t have to hike too far in the middle of the night.

If Boony jinx’s us
and the weather is shit there are enough indoor areas for the families to escape to.

And a big common room with a big screen to watch.
As for the weather what will be will be. We just had a beautiful weekend and the trails are perfect right now. Regardless it will be warm but just pack prepared. And just as a final teaser

Quote:Thanks Fellas…Well I had her out on the trails this weekend.. Decided to take my little girl to the Owl farm and dragged my bike along.. Both knee and bike performed awesome.. I had her blasting down some tight singles and it took awhile to get some confidence but man o man she performed well and helped with confidence as she just stuck like glue and went right where I pointed her.. The heavier spring TB put on before the corner made a difference I reckon.. I had her jumping as well got some huge air(weel huge for me
) and not one bottoming out..Trouble starting it cold but hopefully fixed this week
15/44 is to tall for the trails I now believe.. I have a 47 that Gaz took off after purchasing his DR so I’ll throw it on for the coffs trip and see how it goes…
Yeah Boony pain in arse them headlight assemblies..
The lower gearing will suit Coffs better mate. Apart from the beach and a short bitumen stretch you will not spend much time above 80kph so if it is not too much trouble switch it out. I run 13/50 on my little 250F.

If you get a chance just check that your details are corret here. If you have family or any extras joining for dinner on Friday night let me know as I need numbers by Monday 22nd. The venue has changed for dinner on Friday. It is now at a pub that has a kid freindly bistro so if you arrive late or just want to drink your dinner you can still meet us up. I have a shuttle bus doing laps of the resort so transport is sorted. The Chinese restaurant heard a rumour that 30 big blokes were coming to the buffet and they have gone on holiday for a week :laugh:singletrackmind wrote:
