Mmm that’ll send you blind eventually…. so I’m told anyway.

It is really a beautiful forest you have there STM, a nice bit of wet native stuff and good topography as well

Cheers for the tip BC

It is beautiful and really varied. Here is a section of old grazing land with a trail that I call “Joe Blake” for obvious reasons.

Great vids STM I take it you know that there is no one coming the other way how fast were you going it looks like you were really moving

I was going as fast as I dare but I don’t have a speedo so it is hard to tell. Even if I did I doubt I would look down to see it through these sections

As for other bikes I always stop before these sections and listen out for any bike noises around me. I am lucky enough to have this place mostly to myself and in 18 months I have only seen a handful of other riders.
I take it a lot easier on the fire roads though as people have farms out there and use them as access roads.
I also touch a lot of wood! ;)

I have got harder springs front and rear but that’s it , what does it cost roughly for teknik to do a front and rear job?

They do a great job, Teknik did my bike, but unless you plan to hang onto it save the coin towards your new ride.

Good point TB. I forgot the lucky bugger has a dampener. Leave your forks at 10mm Nick, turn up that dampner and enjoy the best of both worlds.

    STM

in reply to: Fork issues! #180429

10mm may be the optimum spot but to go straight there will make such a big difference that it could leave the front end feeling too twitchy. Go 5mm and compare and make a decision from there.

If the pads last longer then they are stopping you less. Same as rubber, the more grip they give the quicker they wear out

It was a good weekend for swell up here too. Yesterday was much bigger but here is a shot of my local today.

Yeah if Suzuki were to make a RMX style bike with a DRZ motor, or Honda a CRF with the XR400 motor I would be first in line to hand over cash.[/quote]

As would many of us. I think somehow the baby got thrown out with the bath water.

    Too true Boulder!
Look at DRZ sales and Honda had the perfect bike yet they turned thier back on it in favour of a valve bouncing CRFX.
    Crazy.

well at least you got out today stm on a nice bit of trail to by the looks, where do you normally go out the back of coffs is it ? nate80 and my cousin took me for a run from valla to bellingen there was some nice trails around there to

I am on the north side of Coffs and the riding you did was on the south side. There is alot around, it is just a matter of finding someone to show you around.

Hopefully Aarochild will be back on line soon and he can get us all out at Bello for a day.
