I had a bit of oil on the legs when I bought my WR second hand but after Teknik weaved their valving magic they used new seals and I have not lost 1 mil of oil since. I don’t know what seals they use but my problem is solved.

    Welcome Katgirl

When we ride we start as a group and finish as a group and whatever happens in between is fun regardless of what speed you travel at.

Enjoy the site and don’t be shy to ask for advice as this is the greatest dirt bike resource in the whole country. (Same giant country you plan to ride across)

Maybe this bike is too heavy to race flat track. This hole was not here when I started my lap!

Nice review so far Mal. I have to say I was never interested in these things and thought they weren’t for me until rode the Berg at Louee. It was hard to notice it was even there and I doubt I would have done if I were not told prior to the ride.

I think they would be a great device to ‘simple up’ riding a bike in most cases which would leave your brain free to concentrate on other things.

That said I wouldn’t have one myself, especially not for the money they ask for them. I also think once you learn bikes enough, riding them, at least as far as the controls are concerned, just ‘happens’ like when you drive your car to work. I don’t think ‘oh I need this gear or this much clutch or this much throttle/front brake/back brake etc., it just happens.

Maybe MTB’ers like STM would be keen for the left hand rear brake. I consider myself a MTB’er (at least in recent years) but wouldn’t want the back brake up where the clutch should be. Then again I’ve seen STM ride :P

I’ll keep an eye out here for your continued views Mal, I’m glad you seem happy so far though :)

I don’t think you are the one to be giving input to braking issues. I have seen you descend and you might as well just rip both brakes off and save yourself some weight you crazy bastard. I still smile when I think about the way you came down that lose steep mother. Almost as vividly as I remember the way you filled me in on the way back up. B)
