I too put a vote in for Freddo’s. Normally I am in a hurry when I pass through so I run in, ask for a crocodile pie and say “make it snappy”

Yeah that resort we stayed in at Coffs would be perfect for surfing and riding, both no more than 2 minutes from your door step.

If you want to mix it up you can even ride the beach and surf the loam :)

Good call Moto. There was some dirt surfing going on. I tried some uphill and some downhill but it all tastes the same

    Happy B’day mate.

I look forward to one day riding with you as I only hear good things about you and your bike skills. Admittedly those reports come from some pretty dodgy sources though

It was interesting to note the comments above regarding fitness as I was going to post something along the same lines a few days ago until my laptop gave up. Strangely within hours my mobile battery died (permanently) too

Anyway, the best way to shed some pounds off is to shed them from yourself. It will make you fitter, feel better, have more energy, get more horn from the wife and help reduce your total bike/rider weight package.

It always used to make me laugh when I was racing mountain bikes and some boys would spend stupid amounts of monet to save just a couple of grams (yes grams, not Kg’s), yet they could do with losing a couple of thousend grams themselves :P

Again, as per other posts, I’m not saying your fat Boony, but I would bet most of us would benefit and could do with losing a few Kegs :)

    I’m going to start tomorrow ;) :P

It is so true! One thing many OB’s have in common besides the love of riding bikes in the bush is carrying a few kg’s too many. I could benefit from losing 5 right now. I am 6’1″ and am currently 93kg. Any time I am sub 90 I feel heaps better on and off the bike. I am going to start a ‘biggest loser’ style thread were those interested sign up to it and have to report in every week. We can follow each others progress which is one of the best motivations to stay on track.

    Thoughts?

    Good read Mate.

I am glad you had such a good day. Every so often you get an image that burns deep into your memory and the view of you flying past me on the beach and launching the sand rolls with that massive fire in the distance will stay with me for a long time. Precious moments indeed!

I look forward to reading more chapters from your epic journey.

    Good onya Boony!

Do what makes you happy and spend up on that Banana if you plan to keep here for a while.
Sounds like you love that bike yellow girl.

My tip to save weight is to only go as far as reserve will take you then walk. The bike handles much better without a full tank and you lose a lot of weight walking home

    Enjoy

Your more than likely right there TB, but I’m not sure if I can afford one as I’m running two bikes (not now, but I have to rebuild one after some nasty accident)

I think we should all of been born with filthy rich parents, so we could fulfill all our dreams, fetishes and addictions :silly:

    Cheers
Murph without a surf for too long :(

What’s the go Murph? There is plenty of surf right now, paticulary for someone living on a south facing coast.

Hey when you stuck to Champo on the thumper track you had your big tank on your heavy 4 stroke and you had what 15 litres on board

And the fastest bike around the grass track was the heaviest bike at Louee

But I understand how light weight can be a benefit hey Mal, when you have to push it home

Sorry mal it just came out, couldnt stop it

Each to his own I say

Now where are the pictures of this said smoker?

    TB

Maybe the fastest bike around the Grass track was also the heaviest, It was a consistency trial was it not? but if you had to do maybe a full days riding at same speeds in tight shitty hard going crap,I would take the two stroke every day.Love the four stroke on twin trails and more open stuff though. Two smokers are making a huge comeback and I think the Japs are making a big mistake as they will lose sales bigtime especialy with the new technology that is emerging,My opinion only

What about a 250F for the tight stuff Ollie B)

It can’t be a question of weight TB because if it was we would all be trying to lose 10kg ourselves before we worry about 4 or 5 on the bike.
