The “Zone” is the moment when you are thinking of nothing else but the job at hand. Every single sense is trained on the one task and you and whatever it is your are riding become one piece. No reflection, no distraction, just pure focus.

When anybody talks about living in the moment I smile knowingly because when you are pinning it through some singletrack your thoughts can be nowhere but in the moment.

What seems an unatainable dream for many is simple for us. We kick her over and give her a twist. The rest takes care of itself.

    Ride on!

At the end of the day we may never know what really happened but what we do know is that they died doing something they loved and I hope the family that they leave behind can find some peace in that.

Am I missing something here or were these guys all on the same ride?

To ride ahead, pull a U turn and then rocket back at your mates is insane. If this is the case it is not bad luck it is sheer stupidity.

TB if you rode a two smoker know after you 6fiddy, you would need to carry a spare set of rings in your bum bag mate!!:P

Yeah could be right mate  but not replacing my bike for a long long time, nothing to replace it with (that would be my choice but only a smoker for cheaper running costs ):P

    TB

As if you care about running costs TB.

Anyone who mounts a new rear tyre every second ride and uses a bucket of Shine and Go each wash is not concerned with the cost, they do it for the love:)

I bet you can’t get that sort of service on any other site.

    Pure Gold.

just do it Boony. I got my fork the custom treatment and it is perfect. So much so that if I bought another bike I would want to swap it out.

Very sexual although nowhere near as much white wee as I passed looking at the 2010 Swedish porn. I even forgive them for selling their souls to that Austrian company.

    Hey Dozza

    Welcome aboard mate!

I was in the exact same position as you last December when I got back into it after a 20 year break. Last bike at 18, next one at 38. I went with a WR250F. I weigh 90 kg and the riding I do would be described as tight rather than open and fast. If I was riding more open terrain I definatlely would be regretting buying the 250 right now.

Weight is also a factor so I was 10 kg heavier I think it would start to rob the 250 of a bit of life.

Find a good second hand 450 that has good support in your area and do it.

Taking ownership of the trails and maintaning them shows the powers that be that we are not just there to take but also to give.

It is a great idea TB to invlove the authorities in an area like the Watagans and show that our use can be sustainable and not destrutive.

I am sure through OBT you could get massive man power mobilised.

    Your not wrong mate.

If I can work like that at 67 I will be very happy. I cooked him a big dinner and feed him some home brew so he is just about ready for bed:)
