The design does create more surface area with the peaks and valleys but it also creates a thin spot in the valleys. I used one on my WR for a short time before I sold it. In that time it did not let anything in but I kinda think that the traditional design does the job and it is not an area that I want to take risks on, especially with a CRF 250x!

Thanks for the welcome boys!! TB I bought the bike from Team Moto in Brisbane, its being shipped down to their Sydney shop for me to pick up next week. Need to add a few essentials which I’m hoping to snare a few bargains at the bike expo next month.

Will definitely keep an eye on rides coming up & look forward to meeting everone.

First Tenere question – is there one essential no question mod I should do straight up? It has a centre stand, pivot pegs & barkbusters. I’m getting SW Motech bars & bash plate, barretts rack & wolfman expedition panniers. I’m really looking for any advice on suspension / engine mods. Have read a bit about DNA stage 2 filters & also somthing about a O2 sensor mod??

    Grip & Rip!!

Tekniks are a site sponsor and can get your suspension dialled.

    Welcome to Old Bulls Sneaky.
Sounds like you have the best of both worlds with those two bikes. There are plenty of active members around the Hunter so keep an eye out for upcoming rides.
Don’t be shy to ask tech questions mate. We have some gurus on here.
    Enjoy the site!

Did you put your name in the signature box? My Kenilworth edit got blocked and I did this and it worked. Nato used the link and it freed his up too.

I did an Adveturethon (multi spot race) this morning so I have well and truly earned a lazy arvo on the couch watching the race.
Plus I really need to dehydrate!! B)
