proud to be an OBTB)
Well said Spidy!
Thanks to the tips I got from OBT I have turned this job from being a hassle into one that is almost enjoyable. Nowhere near as much fun as getting it dirty but not the nightmare it was.
I am using No Toil so it is not as messy and the lettuce spinner tip is a ripper. They are $8 at big W and leave the filter almost dry straight up which saves a lot of time drying. This is handing during the wet weather we are having right now.
The next tip was to put the filter in a large sandwich, zip lock, bag and add the filter oil to that. It not only acts like a glove for your hands but when you massage the oil through the filter it gives good even coverage and much less waste.
Cheers OBT

Thanks
Is it the same deal if coming from the North or is there an earlier turnoff?
Hi Bull
I can get up on Monday so I will fix you up with $25. Do you want me to put it in your account or sort it out up there?
What time do you have breakfast planned on the Monday as I will arrive for that then gear up and go for a ride with anyone who is keen or has any energy left after Saturday and Sundays antics. I will head back to Coffs mid afternoon.
Cheers

Not wrong LC4. If this rain is good for anything it is your mud skills. I got off my bike yesterday to find a way around a log and when I got back it had slowly started to sink the ground was so soft. I must have parked on top of an old rut because the stand hit firm ground and walking was fine but when I got back the bike was almost hub deep both ends.

MurphGo for a surf Murph and then sit down with a beer and have another crack. The swell is out of the south so it should be on in Newy.

Quote:How big are the logs STM,cant you ride over them? There is not a trials rider in the world who could get over some of these. Some are thicker in diameter than me and hung across the trail at waist height so there is no going under, no going over, and they are so big that most make going around impossible plus I would rather not start doing that as it means breaking young trees rather than getting rid of the fallen one.
Sounds like I have some work ahead of me.

hey Scotty
I did the race out there a few years ago in a 3 man but we used the same bike (05 Teocali elite) just to prove how relaible they were. We had velcro on our number plates and would rock up to transition without a bike and the looks we got as we swapped plates and took off were gold. We called our team ‘Podium Proof’ as we had done bugger all training but we went well until a night time battery issue a long way from camp.
Enjoy your race and make sure you block those roadies who burn you off up the fire road only to slow you down in the single track:angry:
Happy b’day Moto
Hope you have a great day and enjoy a few shandy’s tonight.
I hate people who go slow on the highway until they hit an overtaking lane where all of a sudden they see all the extra road and have the confidence to do 120 only to slow up again:angry:
I like everyone else, even Victorians:laugh:

Here’s someone I need to get to know better. I got a Teocali Elite that needs new shock bolts and bushing.
Just PM me and I will get it sorted out for you.
