It depends if you need new coils, revalve, seals and wipers. I had all three done and it was $500.

They offer a satisfaction guarantee so if you are not happy they will rework it. It sounded like a fair chunk of change to me but that is forgotten now and the ride is much more memorable. If you only need a revalve and seals it is about $350.

It is that boggy on the Coffs Coast right now I don’t even need suspension, a winch would be more useful although the way the weather has been the last week it looks likme by the time the Bello Bash comes around it should be tacky nirvana.

    Bring that shit on!

    Hey Aarochild

Nice detail on the ride. I am in for sure and it is my B’day on the 20th so I can offically join the club. After all Taurus is the Bull:laugh:

My original plan was to stay at th Federal but staying at the the backpackers and talking trash with fellow Bulls is to good an oppourtunity to miss. Let me speak to the fun police and I will PM you in the next few days.

Pressure suits are definately the go but look out for small zippers. They are the weak link and the reason I have thrown away armour before.

I know I could have had a new zipper put in but I did not have the heart to leave that stinking heap of foam and plastic with the seamstress for a day. Big zippers pay big dividends in the long run.

As for nipple rash get a technical singlet top that can be used under any layered clothing. Any of the outdoor adventure stores or good bicycle shops have them and they don’t make you any hotter but do help in leaving your nipples attached to your chest which IMO is a much better spot for them.

That makes sense. I am going for a lap of Wedding Bells to try it this afternoon and will have a tinker to dial it in.

I had a mate ride one of those around Europe without incident. I didn’t want to scare you off it but if everything else is good it is only a fork and simple V-brake away from being the ultimate pub bike.

If you want me to track down a suitable brake and fork I can source one cheap and get something sorted for you.

    cheers

    Hey Mick

I work in the bicycle industry and working out which components to put on which bikes is my job. Promise me that at the very least you will put a V-brake on the front of that thing and a compatible fork even if it is a rigid one. Judging by the photo the steerer tube on that bike would be 1″ which is old school so finding a suspension fork would be difficult.

At least with a V-brake you can get enough leverage to stop that bad boy because the side-pull brake that is on it is ineffective under pedal power let alone motorised.

Are you sure you did not get that from deceased estate?

    Hey P-Dub

Welcome aboard. With a name like that I hope you can rap although I think this site has enough composers already:)

If you are ever up the Coffs Coast drop me a line and I can show you around whether it be on bikes or canoes (same trails)

    Hi Mudrat

Have you considered an Extra Cab. I have a Toyoat Hilux 96′ extra cab and it has been amazing. I have 510000 clicks on a 2.8 diesel and just got back from another epci camping trip.

No dropping the tailgate to load bikes as the tray is full size yet it still has a surprising amount of room in the back seat. It does only have seatbelts for four but I have had adults in the back for up to three hour drives and they were fine so kids are not an issue.

You can get one of newer vintage than mine with less k’s for the money you are talking about.

    Hey Arrochild

I hope things are settling down on the flood front. I have not checked the trails on the northside (wedding bells) but will have a look this weekend.

You can give me a call on 0402131717 if you get a chance and we can get organised.

    Cheers
