Hi Andy,
Good review mate. Does the camera have a wind cut or adjustable audio setting as the wind noise is pretty loud when you get out of third gear. It will make editing tricky later on if you want to retain the bike noise and add a soundtrack or voice over.

I know it is a GoPro setup but a version of this would work.
singletrackmind wrote:On a recent ride I lost my GoPro in the bush. Normally whenever I feel it hit something I reach up to check but on this occasion I had not hit any branches but it was gone. On close inspection the mount had cracked and released the camera. As hard as Corey, Nick and myself tried to find it, it was gone.
New GoPro arrived this week and I have made a tether for it so this cannot happen again.
My helmet (Fox V2) has front ports that a small cable tie can fit through perfectly. I used this as the base anchor point and then tied up some strong cord the way you do to hold your leg rope to your board.
I looped the camera through that and secured the other end to the hinge pin on the back of the GoPro housing.
I also mounted the optional rubber bracket plug (white insert) so it can not release accidentally. To remove the camera I have just enough slack so that I cant feed the camera back through the loop in the leash when I want to remove it and all I am left with is the standard mount and a small cable tie through he vent.
Hopefully saves some one else from an unnecessarily expensive trail ride.

Price match them between the Pentax and the Lumix FT4. About 6 months ago TB was in the market for a new compact tough camera and I did a heap of research and the Lumix won out. It was so good I bought one too and love it.

I think they use a lanyard when mounted to a surfboard.
Will make something up for Tims Go pro
Mal could of used one on the weekend
He was lucky to find it laying in the bush after the next days ride.
We searched through the footage that Tim had taken and Mal was able to pick the spot where his camera had probably gone missing.
Cheers
MurphI posted a posted lanyard set up ppicheers a while back. I will dig it out tonight for you Murph.

I went out today with a crew of Coffs locals who know the west side of town very well. We covered 95km’s in 5 hours and rode some amazing terrain. It was mostly all trails I have never ridden before and only 25 minutes from home. So many singles, some massive hills and deep dark jungle. We finished the day on a downhill single that was banked, bermed and buffer from top to bottom. I will definitely relive this one a few times tonight in my head. About 5km’s of perfectly built trail with a bit of everything. I was the fourth bike in the group and could see the lead rider, we were that close and all weaving through this flowing trail. I wish I had my GoPro on because in my opinion this was as good as it gets!!!

How long does the charge last?
Hey OG
I have had a good look at both and the Oset is a better bike. They both use a lot of mtb components and the build on the Oset is much better. My little fella will get a 16″ Oset for his 5th birthday in December. I will do an in depth report once we have it.STM
james wrote:Fitted the pipe last night, and then of course had to have a sound check 👿Sounds awesome :woohoo: so much better than the stock exhaust, beats it hands down in the looks department as well, makes it look more like a dirtbike.
It had the horses at my place running for cover bucking and farting when I fired the bike up in the shed   .
So STM I was wondering if you have the baffle in your exhaust in your vid as my bike sounds much louder although it is always a little harder to tell on video
Jason did hand me one yesterday with the pipe but not sure if it has to go in it or is it optional, like I say it bellows 👿
I ran the baffle in mine mate. They sound phat either way.

Nice swag. Once the horse and cart makes it to Coffs I will wear them with pride.
